Only to hear scurrying along the floors and walls.
You take a deep, sharp breath as you continue to the center of the room.
Suddenly the scurrying stops.
Your breathing become low and shallow so you can better hear around you.
Growling fills the room as something touches your leg.
You jump and scream. Heading for the door that leads to light.
The scurrying sound begins again and the door you were running to for safety.
Closes.
You stop and curl into a ball squatting on the floor.
The scurrying stopped after you screamed. You just didn't notice.
You feel hot breath on your hands that cover your head.
You let out a whimper to only hear, "I didn't invite you in! How rude can you be?"
