Concept; The 1960's during the cold war, the huge peace movement arises trying to fight US involvement with Russia (Cold War). During this time everyone was afraid of MAD aka Mutual Assured Destruction. People feared the tensions between the two would cause the next Third World war. Our character Indi Kah is a young activist during the first waves of hippies, because the first wave was considered good to the younger generation. Also this is also the time of the civil rights movement, another contributing environment for her.
Indi Kah Character: She is fun loving and social and is very passionate to stop the wars. She often heard stories about how her mom life was like , wars and how america just kept goin into war more and more. She learned alot of the Red scare with her mother. So shes educated. Her shortcoming is that she does things inefficiently because of her views, so she is forced to back track. Kind of based off the notion how social justice warriors are where they are very direct and they FEEL there ideals are the best but not in a very violent or aggressive way. She dislikes war very much because her older brother died during the korean war, he was drafted because he didnt go to college that year.
Nationality: I like to think of her lineage is her father is british and her mother is indian (her parents moved to britain). Both of her parents left Britain during the world war as children. Its to note during this time it was acceptable for Indians and British people to marry just not praised. (not saying there is no racism)
