Story by Mourning

He was born Wyatt James on January 7, 2007. He was one of six born to his mother, Kitty that day.

Wyatt, along with his siblings, were due to leave after about 9 weeks time as people came by and chose which puppy they would like to have. Wyatt did originally have another owner, a family friend, but that changed one morning!

Once able to semi-walk, he managed to climb out of the pen he was being kept in, up three stairs, and waddled into the living room where I was asleep on the futon that doubled as a couch.

I awoke to him licking and lightly chewing on my fingers. I looked over the edge and he sat there, a little pudgy thing, and looked up at me and whined.

I couldn't help deny his face and even though animals were not allowed on the futon, I lifted him up and he curled up next to me and fell fast asleep! I knew right then, I couldn't let go of him!

Pretty much for the next 5 years of his life, he went all over the state I live in. Sightseeing at and swimming in the ocean, camping in the woods, boating, and quite a few rides back and forth to the grocery store!

His favorites to eat were salty bones, Shepherd's Pie, Peanut Butter flavored dog treats and Pedigree Dog Food. He had a fascination with chewing rocks and chasing sticks which he never brought back once thrown.

He was always known to wear a red bandana around his neck. I always told him it made him look even more handsome.

On April 4, 2012, Wyatt took his last breath, he died at home in my arms surrounded by his entire family.

I had him cremated. On April 6, 2012, he was able to come home! He now rests next to my bed.

He'll be forever missed!!
