Gotta catch it!
I was sleeping soundly among my fellow litter mates, hidden underneath their warm fur, when suddenly I was awoken by their movement and before I knew it I was in her arms. I blinked sleepily, but the woman and her husband smiled warmly at me. I didn't really understand what was going on, and I was pretty scared. She held me in her arms a really long time. We traveled inside of a large, noisy machine. I was scared but they continued to pet and reassure me. Once we arrived at what I knew after was home, I didn't know where to sit, where to stand. It was so different from the farm I grew up on until then.
Over time, I realized that the woman and the man were very nice. They gave me food, a place to sleep, they took me outside and most of all, they gave me a name: Lacie. I was so afraid of everything! There was so much noise outside. I also made a nice friend, Kumo. We spent hours and hours running together in the park!
I barely remember my time from when I grew up on the farm. I'm a little older, maybe wiser now, who knows. I'm still afraid of a lot of things, but my family reassures me and I love being with them. I love the bike rides and running in the park after my favorite thing in the world: a ball. Sometimes, I have to wait until my family comes home, but when they get back I make sure they know I missed them with lots of kisses.
