Diana stood atop a building. Her dark hair whipping in the wind around behind her. Chilly as the wind was, it at least kept her hair out of her face. She watched the people below going about their own business, oblivious to everything around them but their own needs.

Her own thoughts wandered to things she had previously spoken. And to those she spoke to. Randomly the thoughts and old sayings ran through her head as she spotted someone running through the sidewalk crowd below.

“We have a saying, my people.

‘Don’t kill if you can wound.
Don’t wound if you can subdue.
Don’t subdue if you can pacify.
and don’t raise your hand at all,
until you’ve first extended it.’”

She hummed watching that one person running until they hurried into a building vanishing from her sight. She smiled faintly recalling her mother, Queen Hippolyta's words.
"...Wonder Woman does not hide away from threats or changes. She meets them head on."
Those words still made her chuckle softly to herself. How true they are.

That same person that ran into the building ran back out, now clutching something to their chest. Unable to make out anything other than a brown winter coat flapping behind them as they ran. It made her think of another saying she mentioned more than once.

"You cannot drown in the flood...when the water defends your home.
You cannot be buried among the dead...when your substance is the earth itself.
You cannot be scattered to the wind...when you ride the storm.
You cannot burn...when the fire itself is your soul."

The person stopped at a baby carriage with another person waiting. Passing the item clutched to their chest, a diaper bag.

“Because no matter how small an act of kindness or generosity or simple positivity you put out into the world, it will make a difference.”

She smiled at the innocent interaction of a family forgetting that one item they needed. The humankind really are fascinating when watched.

She looked up, scanning the cluttered skyline of buildings and wires. Spotting a helicopter coming towards her. Her hand when to her golden lasso.

"Live or die, we will remain Amazons. And I will always be Wonder Woman."
