Óðinn

Allfather of the Norse gods, king over the Æsir pantheon, Ásgarðr’s own autarch, slayer of Ýmir, and demiurge of realms.

Himself at the helm of war with the jǫtnar, Óðinn predominantly orchestrates culling the giants out all but to extinction via perhaps the most Promethean of techniques. Being the child—one of many—to contestably the most salient of targets, Eldr fell victim the greater for when he was an accidental and collateral damage to his father’s displacement and disarmament in Miðgarðr. This would render the young eldþurs the much more vulnerable to Óðinn’s hunt, particularly when his son Þórr alerted the Æsir king to Eldr’s observed unique qualities.

It once was only by way of cautioned words from his father that Eldr knew Óðinn, and yet, the eldþurs would unexpectedly, intimately greet the god in the flesh when hostaged in Ásgarðr.

Þórr

Firstborn and eldest of the Óðinnssons, Æsir prince, god of thunder, lightning, storms, and strength, master hunter of jǫtnar.

Midst of their first of encounters, it was no less with sadistic stupefaction that Þórr received Eldr, himself by accident being collateral damage. Taunting the kindling much as the bull what bred him would leave a lasting legacy of fear in his head and heart. Beyond of the intimidation, the eldþurs calf thus the god deemed for nothing more than that of a generic young Surtsson, doomed to the same demise awaiting for his father, and yet, this stance would develop by stead of observance to Eldr’s unexpected refusal to fit to Surtr’s predestined mold, and the many advantages and disadvantages to come wherewithal. Eldr hence proved that indeed he could survive and dare even to thrive given the challenges displacement offered, as well as form a bond with the otherwise indifferent lord of Múspelheimr. As a consequence, Þórr brought Eldr to his very own father Óðinn’s attention to better weigh his fate—whether he would be more useful alive than dead.

Sarvek

Only son of Hrímnir, himself the grandchild of the jǫtunn and winter goddess Skaði, Eldr’s unofficial stepson and later the half-sibling to the eldþurs’s very own daughters.

It was with no small amount of stupefaction that Eldr received Sarvek, rendered in such a manner by the sole fact that since last they had met, Hrímnir had become a self-made mother. However kindly he presented himself, resolutely Sarvek refused to reciprocate, himself tinged by a mistrust with which Eldr was familiar. Yet, the eldþurs did well to welcome both hrímþursar with only the finest of hospitality, accommodating both to be so comfortable. Despite his dubiety, Eldr treated Sarvek respectfully as was possible and considered him family if even not by blood.

As Hrímnir grew ever the more bonded to Eldr, Sarvek fell the more defensive, even challenging the eldþurs’s very authority. He and his mother together had to handle the hrímþurs’s growing aggression, particularly when bringing new lives into the world, which only further stressed tensions. Internally for the while, Eldr knew that Sarvek was undeceived by his machinations, but remained unmoved.
