Profile
Overview
Major Æsir god and prince. Son of Óðinn, king of the Æsir gods, and Jǫrð. Grandson of Borr and Bestla, nephew of Vili and Vé. Stepson of Frigg. Half-brother of Baldr, Viðarr, and Váli. Husband of Sif, stepfather of Ullr, father of Magni, Móði, and Þrúðr. Lover of Járnsaxa. Wielder of Mjǫllnir, jǫtunn hunter. Casualty of the jǫtunn Jǫrmungandr come Ragnarǫk.
Personality
Corrupted in youth and raised as the destined figurehead of the Æsir. Confident, daring, stupidly courageous and brazen, virtually never backs down from a worthy challenge. Inhumanly strong. Extremely arrogant, conceited, haughty, and proud, goes to great lengths to cement his reputation, to be respected and feared; flaunts his victories. Serves as his father’s right-hand and primary henchman, typically sent as his envoy. Has hidden depths.

Allfather and king of the Æsir pantheon, ruler of Ásgarðr—Ásaheimr’s capitol—Þórr’s father. As a child produced by way of a jǫtunn—however dearly beloved—the bedrock of Þórr and Óðinn’s relationship suffers a fundamental flaw, to begin with, and furthermore for the resulting cub of their union was blamed for the untimely passing of Jǫrð, Þórr’s mother, Óðinn’s objectively fondest consort. Þórr’s upbringing was beset thusly by immovably prejudiced cruelty by which his spirit was effectively broken and left him malleable to whatever destiny his father devised, this being becoming the figurehead of the Æsir and eventual jǫtunn hunter. Þórr, for all of their friction, accomplished every last task and more thereon for Óðinn in the hope—how ever preposterous—of one day pleasing him, however and alas, this day has yet to come, for to Óðinn, his eldest son is little more than a tool and meat shield. This tolls detrimentally for Þórr’s wellbeing, leaving him increasingly depressed and subject to seek various forms of self-indulgence, often to destructive effects.
Njǫrðr
The king of the Vanir pantheon, the priest of the Æsir, Þórr’s stepgrandfather, and perhaps Óðinn’s favourite pet hostage.Þórr knew little of his father Óðinn’s agenda for the Æsir’s opposing god-king, and could not therefore prepare for the ramifications of his actions. When Óðinn took Freyja in as his new queen, Þórr would inherit in her a stepmother, and in Njǫrðr a stepgrandfather, both to which he was quite hesitant and disagreeable.
To some degree, Þórr feels resentful towards Njǫrðr, being far more favoured over himself by his father, Óðinn, but perhaps more by perceiving their adoption as replacing his biological mother, Jǫrð, and his grandparents by her, leaving effective feelings of hereditary erasure. Furthermore, Þórr finds Njǫrðr’s pity and advocacy for the jǫtnar to be as objectionable as much as it is confounding, given the Vanir god’s contextual experiences.
Given the choice, Þórr would moreover prioritise avoiding Njǫrðr, but otherwise will address him somewhat civilly if it cannot be helped.
Hrímnir/Dúrnir
The illegitimate offspring of Skaði, jǫtunn-goddess of the winter, herself once the second wife of Njǫrðr.That his very own fellow Æsir would voluntarily spare a full-blood hrímþurs, and more, allowing it reside in his own homely realm of Ásaheimr, Þórr was rendered quite tempestuously upon the paradoxical decision whereby his tolerance and restraint were effectively challenged.
Though himself credibly a threat, Þórr soon relented by virtue of their commonality—if by half—as both share genetics of giants, yet still has Hrímnir both ways.
Eldr
A Surtsson—one of a vast number—and a collateral damage in an agenda to slow or else completely stop Ragnarǫk from realising.Though Þórr had encountered and felled many an eldþurs, especially the Surtsjóð, Eldr—despite his youth at the time of their acquaintance—was a particularly memorable bull insofar as the offspring of Surtr were concerned for the nonconformity and for the intelligence he so forwardly displayed, and how he seldom tempered his otherwise stern father. From thereon, an exploitative source, if by proxy, was established so as to further weaken the enemy; Eldr, for his peculiarity, was utilised by the gods—in particular, by Þórr—as no more than a third party pawn.
Þórr himself was as forward in expressing his unquenchable sadism through taunting the poor calf seasoned well to fear his hunter, which into his adult life would persevere. Thence further reveled the god in a since battleworthy opponent yet tinged still by the very same deep-seated fear; it was ever a gamble to see who—and what—would earn victory from combat.
Sarvek
Firstborn and only son of the hrímþurs Hrímnir, eldest of her brood, grandchild of the winter goddess Skaði.Perhaps most saliently, the second purebred jǫtunn bred and born in Ásgarðr at the pardon of Óðinn. Hence, Þórr felt failed by his father and furiously at that. So forth it was that the god begrudging would torment both giants, even before the birth; his sadism unbridled knew little boundaries and sought to be inventive to the extreme. The legacy of this mistreatment would no less transcend when begotten, for which Sarvek was frightfully dubious.
Þórr found Sarvek’s cowardice entertaining, exploitative, hence, Sarvek sought for courage to protect himself and those victimised likewise by the god; thus arose their rivalry.
