Got him from the adoption centre. He has a good name. He really likes fruit, but he'll eat leaves too. He writes funny songs and he sings them nonstop. He writes serious songs that he's too shy to share with anyone. He can't draw. He's part plant, and photosynthesises. But his eyes are very big and sensitive, so the sunlight hurts him. His solution is to get an eye mask and sleep outside all day. Moves slowly, but his mind fast and loud. His favourite time of year is summer, because the nights are warm and most fruits are cheap and good.
He has an active imagianation, and can turn anything into a joke. He has no filter, and comes across as insensitive. Once realising he's upset you with one of his dumb jokes, he'll apologise and go kick himself later. Has to be near water, because he is a thirsty plant. We don't have a pond, so we got him one of those kiddie pools. He sleeps in there so his roots don't dry out.
Likes to look at bugs. Will eat them, but only if they're already dead. Has an impressive collection of truly horrible accents. Embarrassing memories from years ago still sting. In the winter, his mood is horrible. He doesn't eat. He'll barely move. The wind howls through his branches and makes him angry. He is an ent baby. Well, more like a moody teenage ent. He hates termites.
He can feel himself growing slower. Some day, he'll barely move at all. He'll have to stay in one place and keep growing. He feels he has to have all his fun experiences before adulthood sets in. Putting down a strong taproot with freeze him in place, but it'll make him stronger. A gentle summer breeze will sing through his branches and serenade the oak next garden over with flowers in her hair.
