Benverly is named for one of my all-time favorite ships, Ben Hanscom and Beverly Marsh from Stephen King's IT. Truthfully they have been morphed from their canon counterparts quite a bit in my mind, but what's fiction without FANfiction? Beverly is a closeted butch lesbian in the peak of the nineties and Ben 'Bethany' Hanscom is a newly-ascribed trans lesbian with a poetic heart fit only for Bev. After the events of IT, the two leave Derry behind together and live the rest of their adulthood out together with a bunch of cats.
