- the hopeless romantic -

if one thing was for sure, it was that i had fallen in love. but it really wasn't my choice, you see; it just happened. i met her on a sunday, loved her on a monday, and she was gone by tuesday morning. it was the sort of thing that just hits you without a warning; it was the kind of love that is only anticipated and rarely ever seen, or even felt. but she didn't love me back.

she was beautiful. and i had slipped and fallen into the chasms of her eyes; her lips; her soul. and it started and ended in the exact same way: with a smile. but the latter is really just a fool's attempt at hiding the tattoo of the heart that is permanently stained on my sleeve. for god's sake, i still write her poems. and letters. she's the main character in all of my stories. i mean, it only seems right.

but i never send them. it's not like she will ever get to read them, or even wants to for that matter. she was never really a fan of fiction. but that's all love really is anyways, just fiction; just a silly idea that is only meant for books, because perhaps it can't live anywhere else.
