•the entire clan would be slain by dragons granted extraordinary powers by an ally witch with the witch requesting only one favor in return, spare the princess.
•the princess, now queen of ruins, would be placed under a curse. damned to live a life of loneliness. (and a long drawn out of life it would be as due to the dragon blood her kin consumed, they managed to lengthen their lifespan to centuries)
•a warning to the princess; if you should fall in love then the one you love will suffer an excruciating death and you will begin transitioning into a dragon yourself.
•the princess would live in isolation dealing with the trauma for quite some time before falling for an exquisite traveler that happened upon her territory. as the witch told, the traveler would die before her eyes and the princess would start her transition.
•her legs and left arm affected by the curse, the princess would leave her ruins to dedicate the rest of her life to finding an undoing spell so she may once again rebuild the kingdom she was left with. not to mention, tracking down that haggard witch to seek revenge. if she accomplished nothing else in her lifetime, it’d be the death of that witch.
