On the small peninsula northeast of Shadowglen lie black sand beaches just beyond the treeline. It is on one such chilly beach that travelers find a small fishing hut connected to a dock with no boat. It is here that Thassa the sea witch resides - a witch known for her ever-shifting moods, a wild heart that ebbs and flows like the ocean. She is not an easy one to approach; many visitors learned this quickly, and these days, she gets very few.

Those who do come to call on her only do so out of desperation - and they are the ones she is willing to help. Women and young ones in dangerous situations, and noble sailors heading out on long voyages, leaving loved ones behind. She weaves her spells with materials and ingredients she has found while exploring her beloved sea, and her magic is powerful.

Aside from her occasional customers, she is not typically one to socialize much, even with the coven she shares "territory" with. Not out of hostility, necessarily, rather Thassa greatly enjoys spending much of her time alone, left to her own devices, work, hobbies.

One witch, however, has managed to break down her frozen-cold exterior. Sohothin, a witch who lives deep in the woods, was drawn to the beach when he caught the faintest sounds of a hurdy gurdy and a woman's gentle singing. It was then he met the reclusive sea witch, and was enraptured with her immediately. Every day he began to make the trek from his cabin deep in the wood to Thassa's shoreline hut, with fresh baked goods in tow.

He would sit, listen, and admire as Thassa spoke, something she hadn't really experienced before. Most who came to her were there for her job, and while her heart truly went out to those she was helping, it felt nice to be listened to once in a while, and it felt nice to be relaxed in another's presence.
