She was feeding again. Tonight was special, as it was the anniversary of her undeath. Not that she'd ever notice. She was walking the earth with even less of a mind now then when she was alive. She slurped and chumped, she ate well this evening, an intestinal tract mixed with a little brain from a freshly ravaged young man. The Crow atop her shoulder took pleasure in feasting upon Carrion's reforming eye. She'd only ever have a single eye, due to this creature's fascination with Carrion's regenerating tissue.

It'd been awhile since she turned; the lust for fresh meat became stronger everyday. Her stomach growled in agony as she reached a cluster of lights. Laughter and sounds of humanity filled her senses. Had she truly found enough meat to satisfy her intolerable hunger? That perfection. She was so close to it. She could already taste it.

As she dragged her disease ridden body across the great divide of what looked like a desert, she started to drool. Rotten mucus spewed from her numb mouth, trickling over and down her unfinished jaw line. After a while she moaned, this would never come as a thought to her mind however, that finding prey would prove slightly simpler if you didn't make your presence known every time you turn your face. Still she tried.

As she reached the entry point, a high pitch scream let everything within a 400 meter radius know she was there. Much more than a little moaning could ever do for her. The crow atop Carrion's eye didn't like this scream much and returned with a caw and jumped upon the small girl knocking her off her feet. The Crow instantly dug his beak into the back of her neck and with little force he ripped out her spinal cord. She was silenced quickly, and Carrion was given another meal.

With delight, she feasted upon the girl. Ripping out vital organs and wasting no time to eat everything of interest. The Crow as usual bit and pecked at her eyes. Carrion munched and chewed. Fresh meat was always best. During the time she was taking to feed, she didn't notice the people sneaking up behind her with a rope line meant to catch wild animals. They inched a little closer before dropping a line right over her head. The crow noticed what was happening and let out a caw. Before Carrion could react jolts of electricity surged through her undead body, causing the minimal part of her brain that remained alive in order to keep her moving, to shut down. The crow kept cawing until finally another person with a bat put him down as well.

She awoke with a strong batch of lights pressed around her. Steel bars at every angle. She wasn't chained down or anything, however each time she'd attempted to leave this cage she was sent another jolt like those that already took her out previously. A low pitched caw released from above her head. It wasn't certain why this crow stayed with her but it did. The crow moved from his resting place and climbed up Carrion's body onto her head and rolled his head against Carrions.

Carrion let out a low moan in acceptance to the scavenger. Could it have been they interacted with each other? Could two different creatures that feasted upon flesh communicate on a level humanity didn't understand?

COME ONE COME ALL, SEE IT IN CAPTIVITY. THE CARRION AND HER COMPANION!The crow would never leave Carrion. It wasn't because the baseball bat stopped him from the gift of flight. No, it was something else. Behind bars they remained for as long as humanity existed until more of Carrion's kind took over. Or at least until the Cage lost power. She'd be thrown a scrap every now and then of a dead animal from somewhere else. Never human flesh though. What a terrible unlife.
