My dearest Endymion-sama,

I pray this letter finds you, and finds you well. You are almost certainly thinking I forgot my promise to meet you this past night; I assure you I did not! I hope my absence did not cause you undue concern! Unfortunately, Mars discovered my plan, and she absolved to put a stop to my sneaking off and gallivanting around on Earth every five minutes!, as she put it. She was purely livid! Mercury had to stop her from setting Mother's curtains on fire!

Even Venus, normally the most sympathetic, scolded me! I'm certain it has something to do with the unrest growing among the people of Earth. Mars says there is a rebellion brewing, and that I'm no longer safe there. Sadly enough, everyone agrees. Judging by the look Mars gave me, and Venus's sudden lack of support, I doubt I will be able to 'sneak off' again any time soon.

Mother almost surely knows of my forbidden visits to your planet. Though she's said nothing to me, there was a tight frown on her face as she brushed past me this morning, and when our eyes met, her's did not sparkle. Rather, they seemed to cloud with worry. Since then, Luna has been by my side, keeping constant visual over me. Mother's orders, no doubt.

Everyone's tensions are high, and I am uneasy. Is the situation on Earth really so unstable? I want to see you!

I hate this, Endymion. I hate not knowing what the future holds. Everything has changed, so much, since we first met. We were once so happy! Do you remember those times, as I do? How I miss walking in the garden with you! I miss the feel of warm grass beneath my feet, the sound of the birds chirping... So many times I've marveled at the beauty of your wonderful, wonderful planet. I ache to visit it again soon.

But most of all... I miss you. All the hours I spend away from you feel... empty, and... I'm lonely. Why does no one understand? As much as I love my people, as much as I want to fulfill my responsibilities as their princess, I want to hear your voice more than anything else! I want to look into your eyes, walk by your side. Even if we are forbidden to love each other, I still want to be with you, no matter what disaster it brings!

Perhaps Mars is right, and I am no more than a foolish child, and a selfish princess. Of course she is right. Only a selfish fool would allow the desires of her heart to outweigh the needs of an entire kingdom!

Endymion... How much better I would feel, if only I could hold your hand right now... Your hands are always so warm.

I want those happy times back, Endymion! I grow tired of feeling as if there is a shadow upon my heart. I want to go back to a time when the Earth and Moon were not always so dark, and our kingdoms were not on the brink of war! War! As if fate needed yet another way to keep us apart.
br> Sometimes I wonder if I will ever be happy again, as I was in the beginning. Will the future ever allow our love to be realized...? Or will war truly come, and bring both our kingdoms, all that Mother has worked for, to ruin and despair?

Whatever happens, I want you to be safe, Endymion! Earth is dangerous for you, even as its prince. You are the only voice amongst your people speaking against this war! I have seen your generals, with their bickering tongues, and the Lady Beryl watches you with eyes that seethe of treacherous schemes. You must be careful!

Endymion, know that I love you, and that you are my one and only love. Call it the foolish dream of a selfish child, but... perhaps, one day, we will walk together, not as a prince and princess, but as Endymion and Selenity. As no more than two people who love each other. If fate could only be so kind to us, and let us find our place in a world that doesn't forbid our feelings. I have not yet lost hope that one day it will be so!
