Everyone enjoys a little competition. It's fun and exciting to see who comes out on top, especially if it's you that does so. Chocolat has built his entire life, and career, with this mindset and he has always been number one.

Until he met Lindsay.

He opened up his latest candy store, Chocolat's Chocolates, right across the street from Lindsay's Bake Shop. He'd had every intention of becoming successful in the area and didn't count on any sort of fierce competition. After all, everyone loves candies but muffins are a more narrow demograph.

Alas this was not so in the town where they both reside. The customers for the most part are fiercely loyal to their beloved Lindsay even if parts of her sometimes make their way into the food. Chocolat's candies are famous and his name is known all over the world, but I guess that means nothing when you are competing against an undead baker.

Chocolat is not an evil mastermind, far from it. But he does on occasion try to sabotage poor Lindsay's shop. Sending out his little candy minions, they'll pour some mud into the muffin mix or add just a pound or more extra salt to the icing. Sadly nothing ever really works and it's back to the drawing board after a brief round of whisky to drown his sorrows.

Overview
Chocolat hails from France, hence his name. He wears a bÃ©ret and has a nifty french mustache. He owns the candy shop Chocolat's Chocolates which resides right across the street from Lindsay's Bake Shop. He has always done well in business and is a rather poor loser. It comes as no surprise then that he tries to (unsuccessfully) sabotage Lindsay's shop with the help of his little candy followers.
