His Story...
Shadows, always shadows. His past and present were all shrouded in deep shadows. He stayed in the shadows, afraid of the light. Afraid, yes...He looks again at the silhouette of a young girl framed within her window. She was studying again. She often was. A deep sigh of sadness and longing emanates within the depths of the shadow. So much light...
While he watches his mind begins to wander back to the time, the time when he "woke up". His entire life seemed to have begun at that one point. He was maybe 8, he did not know. He opened his eyes and awakened from a deep sleep. He was laying on the hard ground outside of an old derelict house. The sounds of trees and the chirping of insects all around him.
He awakes from his reverie with a start. The girl has turned off her light and seems to have retired to bed. He is tempted to come closer to the house to watch his Angel sleep. He sighs again. Much too light. He slips off in the opposite direction forgoing the temptation to stay longer. Perhaps he should make a journey back to Sensei’s home and pay his respects to his grave. His mind has been erring much lately. He needed to refocus. Still his mind. Sensei had always told him to not fear the light. Sensei didn't understand. He never had. He didn't understand what was in the light. The fear it held. The fear of forgotten memories.
