The Innocent One

Naomi was a curious little pony growing up in the Peka Glade. On one particularly stormy night, Naomi was separated from her mother and her heard. Lost and all alone, Naomi wandered around until she was at the foot of a dark, dank cave. She became more alert as she called into the cave, hoping that someone inside would be able to help her find her family or at least provide some shelter until the storm passed. Suddenly, a tremendous roar filled her ears as a fierce looking Archan emerged from the cave. Naomi took off running into the night as fast as her hooves could carry her, but the Archan remained in hot pursuit. Eventually, the young filly found herself at a waterfall, trapped. With no place to run and the ferocious predator closing in, Naomi waited for the inevitable. Suddenly, a menacing screech stopped the Archan in his tracks, merely feet away from his prize. Looking up, Naomi saw what looked like a large horned bird, as black as night with glowing red eyes, large sharp talons, a long spiked tail, and a silver collar around its neck. The terrifying bird closed in on the Archan with sharp talons extended as it emitting another bone chilling screech. The winged beast descended upon the Archan, bringing a swift death. Naomi made to flee with the 'Black Death' distracted by its new meal, but was approached by a human before she could. With a calm soothing voice and soft hands, the human told her not to be afraid as she stroked the frightened pony's nose. After calming down, Naomi realized she had found her new family.
