"Aka Kinu" (possibly an alias)

Human, born 1986 in Toyono, Osaka Prefecture, Japan, alcoholic, Yakuza hitwoman, dreamer.

Growing up in a small town with very little modernization, Kinu was always feeling guilty for the fact that her parents had no money. After acing her middle school exams, which allowed her to go to the high school of her choosing, both parents scraped together whatever money that they could manage to help her move into an apartment in Ibaraki, Osaka, with her aunt and her aunt's boyfriend. Kinu was determined to take up a suitable, well-paying career that would easily help her pay back her family for all the financial sacrifices they had made for her sake. Little did she know, however, that their apartment complex was "on the wrong side of the tracks". Delinquents ran frantic throughout this area of town, and it wasn't uncommon for Kinu to come home with a couple of bruises and scratches. One particular day, a no-nonsense looking man, after seeing Kinu easily handle herself against five members from a delinquent gang, approached her with a "business deal" to help her earn some money. This man, it turned out, was Yamada Kosuke, one of the many yakuza bosses in that area. With extensive training to help her get stronger and tougher, Yamada-san had Kinu as a personal bodyguard nearly anytime she wasn't occupied with school. She kept this lifestyle incognito from her family by telling her aunt and her aunt's boyfriend that she had taken an internship at a publishing business in the inner-city. Though they had their suspicions, they kept quiet and were none the wiser. It helped that her paychecks often went to help cover rent and food costs. Meanwhile, Yamada-san, with Kinu as his bodyguard, climbed up to power. When thugs came about to attack, nobody ever suspected that the young girl he always kept in tow would fight back. As a result, they'd be completely caught off-guard, with the battle in favor to the teenage girl, much to the shock and displeasure of rival gangs. Things only escalated once Yamada-san was made the new head Boss of all the yakuza in the Osaka prefecture.

Boss Yamada's business flourished from simple loan-sharking and underground gambling, to weapon and drug smuggling. As such, Kinu went under even more training to further protect her Boss from even stronger, fiercer enemies. She was required to learn how to properly wield firearms, blades, and other such weapons, in case of an assault or attempted assassination on Boss Yamada. While she became especially deadly with a gun, her preferred method of killing was always with knives...butterfly knives, in particular, became a favorite. Over the years, while the family assumed she had become an assistant for the publishing company she claimed to work at, she had, in truth, become one of the most ruthless killers in all of Osaka, quite possibly even all of Japan. She had made it a point that men and women alike were not safe from an order to be killed. No matter what, however, she would never harm a child. Any orders given to her to do so are ignored, much to the chagrin of those whom wish to hire her for family massacres. Kinu is not totally numb in emotion, despite what some may say; the constant murders for money have caused her to turn to liquor as a way to blur out any memory of murdering somebody. Her frequent drinking often leaves her in a very bad mood, with her hangovers possibly causing her to become even more ruthless when it comes to harming others. At the suggestion of a neighbor of hers, she has now taken up drawing as an alternative way of coping with her anxiety. Her creations are often regarded as brilliant works of art, though she knows that, as long as she works for Boss Yamada, she can never make a living off of it. Still, she clings fast to the dream of becoming something other than the killer she has turned into, and hopes to one day move on and put her dark memories behind her.
