Umbyr would best be described as lofty – he has more of a long frame than a tall one, he stands at 5’11†and walks as if he is weightless. He always wears a smile and it is almost always genuine. His black hair is curly and short, in stark contrast with his light skin. His eyes are very dark brown and are rimmed in thick, dark lashes. He has long, thin eyebrows, a long nose, and somewhat thin lips. All this is set on a narrow, almost gaunt face. Despite this, his look comes across as charming.
He wears dark clothing, for the most part. His style has been said to be “artsy†and “indie.†It isn’t exactly laid-back, but it isn’t too professional, either. He tends to wear straight-leg or skinny pants, t-shirts, and vests. He also likes blazers and hats.
Umbyr is a very laid-back sort. He has a philosophical, abstract mind and he loves to confuse people with his off-the-wall musings. He has a talent for poetry and figurative language and this allows him to speak artfully and elegantly. He is, however, extremely arrogant and egotistical. He is a womanizer, and tends to use people and discard, though he does not do this to his close friends and family. He does have certain expectations of the people close to him, though; ones which aren’t entirely realistic.
He always acts happy and most of the time he really is, which is ironic considering he is a bit of a pessimist. He is very into nature and technology, and often juxtaposes the two in his poetry. His studies are important to him, though not quite so much as some of his friends. He also loves Shakespeare and has some of his plays memorized. He likes to think of himself as one of the great philosophical and literary masters.
He loves music and his biggest regret in life is never having learned to play an instrument. He is trying to learn to play piano, and he can sing, though he’s never had any training so it’s a bit rough.
As far as how he treats people, it really depends on the person. He is snobby and rude to those he considers inferior, and he is disarming and charismatic to those he considers valuable. It is something many of his friends try to discourage in him, but he argues that if is going to make them feel inferior, he might as well do it in such a way as to make them feel wronged so they aren’t belittled by the experience.
