Kalen means "warrior"

Kalen is a monk from the ancient mountains. He has spent his life there in solitary with his teachers and fellow monks. Recently given the opportunity to follow his destiny, he has descended to the lands below. Guided only by the vague words of his teacher he walks down the winding trail and finally reaches the bottom of the mountains. But the world is different down here. It is ruled not by the wisdom of the stars or the will of the gods, but by the rule of man. Fickle and unrelenting. Towns and small cities litter his path as our bemused warrior travels the land.

He meets along the way an arrogant prince. The prince sets out to teach the monk the "real world" and the monk simply reaches out to the prince to teach him that in the large scheme of things, his many crowns mean nothing.

Kalen is accompanied down the mountains by his constant companion, Snowflaik. He is more comfortable around his cat friends then most other people. You might find him in the woods surrounded by his favorite furry friends... wait...why are they all black? They flit from shadow to shadow following the warrior. Perhaps in a past life, Kalen was once a black cat himself?
