It wasn't easy being a princess to a tyrant such as her father. But she had learned to deal with it. At least she had ways of getting away from her brutal father's attention quickly. All she had to do was say she was either sick or have a servant give him a present from her. On those lucky days that her father seemed uninterested in her, she would enjoy a nice walk along the frozen lake. Frozen? Yes. Her people were known for their ice-wielding powers.
As she walked, she vaguely remembered her older brother saying something about his team going off to a not too distant land to overthrow them as well. Lifting her head slightly at the sound of what appeared to be singing and laughing, she saw a large group of men marching towards the kingdom. Running to the small hill nearest her, she lifted her hand to shield her eyes, hoping beyond hope she'd see her brother's bright blue hair and icy blue armour. Sure enough, right in front, laughing and dragging something behind him, was her gorgeous brother. Something told her to go back to the castle but curiosity won out. Running as fast as she could, she caught up to him only to be grabbed up and spun around. How she had missed him.
Later, after the victory dinner, she was ushered to her room to be given her birthday gift. Her birthday... she had forgotten. As she say there waiting on her bed, she watched the door intently, her hand idly running over the silk of her sheets. Just when she thought he had forgotten himself, a knock sounded seconds before he pushed the door open, a couple of his men following suit while dragging in a third man who... had a bag over his head and was grunting. Hm...
All she heard was "Happy birthday, baby sister" before he revealed to her the most beautiful man she had ever seen. His eyes scorched her with hatred as she continued to stare at her. Slowly getting off the bed, she made her way to him, curious to how his red and black fur would feel under her cold hands. Reaching out, she had to jerk her hand back mere seconds later due to him jumping and scaring her. Glancing to her brother, she listened to him explain about this one. His name? Zarek. He was a prince of his people. People who now were extinct. People who wielded fire.
She tried to absorb all this information as she studied the man on the floor at her feet. She could see him in her bed. As her thoughts wandered, her brother coughed, making her blush. To her surprise, he announced that he would be her pet. Excited, she grabbed the leash and undid it. After letting her brother leave as she assessed her newest toy... Oh yeah, she would have a lot of fun with him....
