An old story we've all heard before

Do not allow yourself to be bullied. That is what I always told myself. It wasn't until I'd reached full adulthood that I concluded that people just plain suck.

My entire life I wanted to fly. For years I'd tie balloons around my stomach and fly just barely above the ground. Every time someone would come around and pop them. For one of my teenage birthdays my mother bought me a ride in a hot air balloon, it was the best day of my life. Well, the best day before I got here!

So I went to school and I studied physics and that was when I created my escape. I created a technology that gave me the ability to fly without the need of a basket or fire like a hot air balloon. It's silly really because looking at it you'd think it was honestly, just some balloons. It's more than that! And while I can't explain it to you, I just want you to know, never give up on your dreams.

Don't think for a second I don't know why you are here. I didn't come up here to fly and you didn't come up here to see the 'beautiful scenery'. Consider your reasoning for being here. Remember everything you do impacts the lives of those around you.

He overlooked the edge, waters thrashing onto the rocks below. Hesitant to the rumblings of this random creature, you were skeptic if not worried about his intentions.

So this is how we got here, after years of bullying and constant abuse. Here we are. I'm going to jump and you won't try and stop me because we both know this will never end in your favor.

He extended out his arms and launched himself off the cliff. From the other side came a single balloon. Concerned you rushed to the edge looking for him. He was no where to be found.
