The River Guardian">Anti-Social - Egotistical - Temperamental
Therron is a few hundred years younger than The Doe and Serephelia, brought to life to cleanse the waters of the forest. It is unknown exactly how he was born; one day he was noticed in the largest river, surrounded by the fish he now calls his 'subjects'. A well placed term, as the waters are his. The Doe convinced him to allow the inhabitants of the forest to use the water, in exchange for one day a year.
On that day, little candles and gifts float down the river to him. Generally the gifts consist of shining, round objects. Therron collects them very much like Gerda collects gems. His hoard is stashed away in various caves just under the surface of the water.
As he does not like anyone but himself, the river guardian stays to himself, looking at his reflection in the water and constantly preening. He has a strange, severe dislike for VidarUlf -- probably due to the fact he is The Doe's guard and a high-ranking official in the forest. It usually takes The Doe's kind words and flattery or Serephelia's short tone to get him to do anything.
The one other thing he appreciates is a fine story. He will constantly show up near Requime's hut and demand for a story. The little song bird usually agrees; she loves having a rapt audience (even if it is only a river guardian and a large school of fish).
