Background:Dumbi, when born, was born in the province of Quelos, where her father, Miichael, was a scholar from far away. She resembled her father, but her personality was more like her late mother's. Dumbi is headstrong, confident, and distracted easily. Not the best combination for a scholar, exactly. Her father told her this when she was five years old, and told her to improve on her focus and studies. She told him she didn't want to. They repeated this conversation many times, and Dumbi got tired of it. When her father got remarried to a woman who had three children, she decided it was the last straw. She ran away to Nuviare at thirteen. She's been residing there ever since, and has not heard anything of her father or stepmother since.
