Akunichi, translated from Japanese, means "Unlucky one"
Boy, how unlucky was he.
Born in the colder climates of the Arctic, this pup had to defend and support himself the only way he knew how - by raw, aggressive strength. Within a small village he hung out at, he would steal and fight his way to get to food. Using the power of his fangs alone, he managed to survive off of the 'kind generosity' of the unfortunate victims of Akunichi's antics.
There are disadvantages, though, about living in such a small town. People began to catch on to his schemes, and all began to gang up on him until he was backed into a corner, finally caught and convicted for his crimes.
It would have been there that his legacy would have ended, if not being picked up by a soldier of Emerald Wing Military brigade. Seeing a bit of potential in this 'under-dog', he was then taken out of the pound and put to work.
He can still be a bit rash at times towards his peers and partners, sometimes even down-right rude to them. But he is mostly quiet, simply growling and complaining on how 'hot the weather is down here'.
