As the moon was shining brightly and the stars were flickering in the sky, the fireflies were dancing on a slow rhythm that only nature knows. You were walking on an old cracky path, through some dark woods. You saw some fireflies swirling through the low-hanging branches, but flew right back up, joining the rest. You found relieve and happiness, just by watching them fly.
But as you continued your path, you noticed that the darkness was dominated these parts of the woods and moonlight could barely shine through. Your breathing started to speed up, not knowing what roams through these woods. Than suddenly, you feel that the atmosphere grew colder, like it was winter. Than, you heard the sound of a breaking branch. You gasped and looked rapidly around. Nothing. Unsure of yourself, you started to head back. But the darkness was overwhelming, you couldn't see from what direction you came from. As you turned around, you immediately froze, when your eyes meet his.
His ghostly blue eyes were locked into yours and noticed that they were coming closer. With every step he took, you took 2 steps back instead. "What.... What a-are you-u?" You were stuttering by fear and your legs were shaking. "Hehe, you really want to know that?" As he smiled, his teeth were long and sharp. You couldn't walk anymore, as a tree blocked your way. The creature was still walking towards you, but suddenly stopped. His aura was glowing around him, letting you see his true form.

He had this muscular body, like he had trained himself for a long time. His tail was unlikely for any other canine. His tail contained long, deep black feathers. The wind sometimes lifted some feathers up, like it was nothing. His black markings on his front legs looked like tribals: they looked really intimidating for friends or foes. His ice cold stare that he gave you, made you even feel more colder than you were feeling before. He lowered his head and gave an evil grind at you. "Strange, that humans are still daring to enter these parts of the woods..." You wanted to answer, but you couldn't, as he took one more step towards you. "I hate daredevils. So what made you coming this place...?" He sat down, but didn't look any other way. "Come on, sit down." He gently asked to you, but his ice cold stare made you doubt if you could trust this creature. But you did what he told you to do and sat down, against the tree.

The male smirked, but that didn't lasted for long. "The name is Jilt. Just Jilt. Nothing more... nothing less..." Just when he said that, he spitted the other way, something he was used to do that sometimes. "What... What is this place?" You nervously asked the male. "The place is named Aludra. Beautiful lands if you ask me." He sighed for a moment and looked down at the dirty ground. "But this is also a place, where a monster is roaming. Looking for victims that he can eat, poison them or making them a part of his army. Or something like that." He said, like it wasn't a big deal. You started to feel that there was something was wrong. "... Eating.. his victims?" "Only if he's hungry... He normally poison them, but that's normal... What IS important, is how to survive here..." You looked confused at this male. "What do you mean by that?" Jilt shaked his head. "That is something that you will never understand, unless you've experienced what I've been through. You just have a good life and you have nothing to fear. You probably didn't lost your biggest treasure all time." Your head was starting to fill up with many questions. "Your situation? My good life, how do know you that?! Maybe it isn't good as you think! And what big treasure? Please tell me what you mean!" The male gave an evil stare at you and snarled loudly. As you heard his snarl, you calmed down and hold still. You wouldn't imagine what he could do to you if you made this male even more angry. But he looked away instead. "That is something.... You wouldn't understand..." He paused for a bit, but that didn't lasted too long. "See this." He pointed with his head towards something that was laying on the ground. You tried to look it at yourself, but was to far away. Brave, but unsure, you stepped up and slowly walk towards the male, but kept your distance. Than you saw it; a old wolf skull, laying on the ground. You looked questioned at the male, but the male was depressed, by just looking at this skull. "What about this skull?" You unsurely asked. The male just shut his mouth and as he breathed in, he replied. "This was my biggest treasure of all time, my fiancée, but she passed away a long time ago. She was poisoned, by the Beast. She was my only, but greatest love of all time. My only love. But she had to pay the price when we met him...." The male laid down, letting his head rest on the skull itself. "I wish... it was me instead of her..." You decided to sit down and kept your look locked on his and this skull. You felt... somehow sorry for this male, but your trust began to grew. "Maybe he isn't bad and scary after all......."

"Me and my pack now live in war, feared by the Beast himself and his poison. We now hope he won't track us down here. But there are signs, that he is close by." Jilt tilted his head up and got back up on his feet. You look confused at the male, but before you couldn't say anything, it seemed Jilt understood you were confusion. "Mai is a horrifying creature, that always loved disaster and get feared by every living creature that he faces. I'm one of his enemies, along with Duku. Duku was a wolf, that Mai was sealed in a long time ago. He somehow managed to get free and is now out of control." You were listen carefully, as the male continued his story. "Duku is determined to defeat Mai once and for all, just like me. He did something horrible to me and my mate, that is unforgivable. My revenge shall be sweet." His nails were printed in the muddy flooring and you felt bad for him. The male looked down at the wolf skull, that was forever silent. "I'm doing this for her and no one else. She never had the chance to defend herself. She even didn't deserved to die like that." A tear rolled down his cheek. It felt down and landed on the top of the skull. "Aivene...." He whispered. He once more laid down and wrapped himself around the skull. "I will always be there for you. And I won't rest, until he breaths his final breath...." You got yourself back on your feet, as you walked away from the two. It was a good timing to leave the male alone. He needed his time for himself. As you turned around, you heard the male for the last time, talking to his precious treasure.. "I will always love you, sweetheart......"
