Yenikano (Yen) was your average islander of the Omen Islands. Yen would help out his fellow islanders in any way possible. From teaching the young one's basic fighting moves to catching fish for the village. His coming of age ceremony was almost perfect... had it not been for the pirates.
Yen fought bravely to protect his friends and family against the pirates, though in the end his eye was damaged beyond repair. The battle raged on until eventually, Yen had managed to get separated from his village. As blood continued to leak out his eye, Yen left a crimson trail behind him. He hadn't explored his entire island yet and most of the territory he was wandering about aimlessly in was new to him. Finally, Yen collapsed from not only his damaged eye but from dehydration. At this point it seemed as if the newly dubbed warrior would've wasted away.

Until...

A few hours passed until Yen found himself coming back to his senses; he was no longer on the island but in what seemed to be a vessel's cabin. Alarmed at a new face hovering above his, Yen quickly noticed the stranger's apparel. He was one of the pirates. Letting out a battle cry, Yen attempted to lunge at his enemy; but found himself still to weak. It suddenly hit the islander that his eye no longer caused him pain. Gazing into the pirate's mirror that was hung up on the wall across from the bed which he lied in, he noticed a strange object hung over his eye. The pirate explained that he meant no harm, and that it was a strange man whom had loaned him the instrument in order to fix Yen's eye.
Still suspicious of the pirate, Yen realized that his right eye was tinted with the color purple: something that Yen was going to have to learn how to get along with.

Weeks had passed until finally, Yen had made a full recovery. But it was too late. The pirates had won the battle, leaving Yen disheartened and crushed. Luckily for him, he had found out his village had relocated to a safer shore on the island. To this day, Yen lives on the Omen Islands; venting out his hate for pirates with talents such as fishing, drinking, playing with Siren, and surfing.
