My MIND was the first to wake. I remembered SCREAMING and BLOOD, humans RUNNING, FEEDING, then...PAIN...There was anger as I turned to find the sword still running with MY blood and the man's face revoltingly twisted into hatred as we both lunge...the blur of an exhausting, heated battle, more pain...then...
...nothing...
...
I open my eyes to escape the disturbing memories, but I CANNOT see! I move my body but NOTHING happens, then I scream in anger and frustration and THERE! The sound is huge! Bigger than I remember! Though it's also much different than before. This time it has a dry rattling hiss, similar to the death rattles of old hunts, that drags out before ending in a morbid gurgle as if I were drowning in something deep in my throat. I consider this new sound for bare moments, before deciding,
It pleases me!
I try moving once again once my vision slowly begins to clear revealing a dark and hazy world around me. []Finally, my effort proves fruitful and I rear back, stretching, as I scream again, the sound is amplified by the damp walls around me and reverberates for some time before I catch movement in my new eyes. Something is below me and when I snap my fanged mouth shut so I can eye my first meal, my mind goes blank.
It is HIM!
Back in the farthest reaches of my mind I knew we'd never met, but such things no longer mattered...he was my master...nothing mattered ever again, but pleasing him...
