H-hi! I'm Sofie. Please, don't be shy. Just because I seem timid to you doesn't mean I'm not talkative! I enjoy spending time with my girlfriend, Savi! She really brightens up my life. I honestly have no idea what I would do without her. A-anyways .. one of my favorite things to do, is when it's snowing, go out in the cool, white world, and just think about life. Everything. Anywho, I'm generally quiet and I like to observe things, places, or people. I learn a lot more just by watching a scene than being involved.

History

The night was dark, the sky filled with shimmery stars. The air had a warm feel to it, but not from humidity. Tonight was a peaceful night. Many young creatures were out in the darkness, wandering about, chattering quietly. Everything felt serene and sweet. Alone, Sofie sat on the hillside outside of her home, blending into the night. She sat quietly and patiently, watching others come and go, secretly wishing to be noticed. This was her nightly ritual. She had been sitting upon this hill since she was a child, completely hidden from the rest of the world.

She was waiting for someone important.

And she would wait forever if she had to. There was this deeper sense she had felt, calling her out here. She knew there was something important to happen here, but she didn't know who, or what it was. She would stay out here until everyone had come and gone, only once the night was still would she return to her home.

With a sign, Sofie stoof alone, leaving the lonely night to itself. She would go rest, until tomorrow night, where she would reside here yet again, continuing her chain of mysterious behavior. With a quiet yawn, she shook out her tense muscles, and decended down the hill. Cool stones were felt under her feet, making her shiver. It was a strange contrast to the air. Warmth and comfort was held in the air, and these stones beneath her feet were abrupt and abnormal. She thought back to the number of creatures treading along this very path only a short while ago. They hadn't seemed bothered by it. How odd.

She shook her head, clearing her thoughts. She was just being paranoid, surely. She quickly began to head home, keeping her head low, just wanting some peaceful sleep now.

Crack.

With a jolt, Sofie whipped her head around, eyes wide. Who was out there? Was she being followed? Who in their right mind had stayed out this late, and noticed her, of all things? She was barely visible in the night. Swallowing nervously, she continued on her way, picking up the pace a little.

Crack!

Okay, someone was definitely - THUD.
"Eeeep!" was the one sound piercing the tranquil night, followed by another voice;
"Shhhhhhh! Pipe down! I'm not going to hurt you! Shush already!" came a huffy voice.
Looking up timidly, Sofie saw a brightly colored creature staring down at her, eyes wide with excitement. "Would you mind .. getting off of me, please?" Sofie asked quietly, obviously aggitated.
"Oh my! I'm sorry .. " Came the reply, sounding slightly hurt by the sharp edge in Sofie's voice.
"No, it's alright, tackling a complete stranger with no explanation and sitting on them for an awkward amount of time is totally fine." Sofie growled, upset. Who did this person think she was? Walking all over her like that. She didn't need to stand for this.
"I said I was sorry .. I didn't ask for forgiveness .. " Now the voice really sounded hurt. Great.
"Listen .. can we just go on our seperate ways? I'm not quite sure why you attacked me like that, and I quite did not like it. Anyways, I need to be heading home. Goodbye and goodnight." With that, Sofie sat up, shaking her fur out, only to hear a squeak from the stranger.
"Wait! I'm Savina .. I kinda, erm, noticed you all alone, and I .. kinda wanted to know if you and I could be friends .. ?" Came the timid voice. With a sigh, Sofie turned back. She really was getting sleepy, and didn't have time to argue with her.
"Listen, Savina, I don't see tackling as a 'Let's be friends!' greeting, but since I'm tired and just want to go to bed, sure, what the heck. Now may I go .. ?" Sofie asked, exasperated.
Savina nodded excitedly, grinning. "Okay! Goodnight, friend! Wait .. I didn't catch your name. What was it?" She tilted her head, curious.
"Sofie. Goodnight, Savina." She turned, sighing heavily, and finally went home.
