I made a trip to the Artic Frost to go test my luck on the Polar Ice Field; it was so cold I felt like my bones were frozen. I was lost but kept walking deeper and deeper into the field without knowing how to return. As I walked, I noticed a bright white light coming from the floor and got closer and closer. While I got nearer a feeling of warmness came down to my cheeks, and I also noticed there was something inside the light. Once finally next to it I saw a pair of gray wings and I thought 'Could it be an angel? Did I died?' I took another look and realized it was no angel since the wings were attached to a ball of fur. "What is it?" I asked out loud feeling curious, and when I was about to touch it the winged creature moved and I heard a voice in my head.

'I'm not an angel stranger. I'm a Montre and I got separated from my pack. I don't know if they left me on purpose because I am wounded.'

As I heard those words in my head I got really confused. 'Is it talking to me? How can it read my mind?' Still I searched for the wound and found nothing. "You are not injured little friend."

'Look at my eyes, they are bleeding...and everything is blurry so I can't look for my pack. I would have to survive on my own.'

The eyes were overflowing with a blue substance that I imagine was the Montre's blood. The skin was open in both eyes and each wound looked like it was made by a claw. "On your own? But there is nothing but mountains of ice! You'll die in no time!"

'It must be my destiny, they can't raise a wounded child like me so I was abandoned while I slept.'

"No; I won't let you die like this. There is something I can do to help, but it won't really heal your sight." I place my hands over the Montre's eyes and let my magic close the wounds so it would stop bleeding. "I would take care of you from now on."
"Thank you...Merlin."
"You sure are full of surprises, even can know my name." I smiled and lifted the cub in my arms and kept walking searching for an exit. "Do you have a name?"

'No, I was not named yet...I was just born.'

"Your a baby and you can talk?"

'I don't talk, I can read your thoughts and I can put mines into your head. That is all.'

"I see; you surely would be an amazing companion. From now own your name would be Zenrou, you will have a strong entrance into the world, I'll make sure of it."

I couldn't find my way out and couldn't let my new friend to die, so I used my last resort and call upon my other companion GAAR. 'He surely would find us.' I waited for GAAR to come to our rescue and in the meantime I told Zenrou all I could about his new family. "You'll get along for sure."While we fly away on GARR's back I saw a pack of glacier Montre pass below us and wonder if that was Zenrou's family and if I should return it.

'Don't look back, this is a new beginning.' I could hear Zenrou's voice in my head. 'You just gave me an opportunity to live when I was left to die. I now will serve you and protect you once I'm all grown up. I will gift you with a sword of ice.' Suddenly in my hands a long ice sword appeared. 'Whenever you need my power, use the sword and I would be there to your aid.'

"Your power?"

'With time, as I grow I would develop my kind's powers and each of those powers are what I offer to you as a reward.'

Zenrou closed its eyes, I could tell the injured eyes were hurting him. We arrived to the little corner I was calling home and rushed inside searching for Temary and I didn't even need to ask, she knew right away what she must do. She placed her horn near Zenrou's eyes and in only a few seconds they were healed. Only a blue scar remain over his eyes but he regain his eye sight instantly.

'Thank you, now I can see you all clearly.' He looked up and for the first time looked at his new family. We were all looking down at him when he suddenly made a sound that sounded a bit like a wolf's howl but not exactly alike; it was his way of saying thank you and at the same time he was gifting us all with his magic. Seconds after the howl, an ice needle entered our forehead without a feeling of pain and without leaving a scar behind. A bond was immediately made between our hearts and I'm sure all of us felt it.

'As my new family, I offer you all my friendship and support. With that ice seed I planted on you I would be able to sense if any of you are in trouble and would be able to find you no matter where you are.'

The family grows once again, I wonder how many more if any would join me in this journey.
