On the subject of his magic and fighting style:
His magical abilities are quite limited, though useful if only for his own entertainment and for the benefit of nature. He can grow spores and seedlings from his own body, and does a service to the forest by spreading them everywhere he goes. He can also harness the minute life forces inside of grass and foliage to keep himself alive. Leaves and seeds can also serve as ammunition when absorbed. He cannot control much at one time, making his attacks weak, but repetitive. When threatened he will instinctively flee and seek safety in burrows and hollow tree trunks until the danger passes. Since his wings are not at a sufficient span to hold his weight for long, he can only fly short distances and will usually run instead of fly. He is very skilled at the art of evasion, and he is unusually quiet from spending so much time by himself.

*= He absorbs nutrients through the soil and grass to survive; as long as there is fresh, healthy earth/foliage around he can live as long as he wishes. He is still mortal and can be killed.
