0 The Red Planet
It is said that a child of Mars was fair of face and she was no exception. With the pale radiance of the moon, and eyes glittering gold as the sun; even her plump lips were as lovely as Venus.
Being the daughter of Mars came with many a burden: for Mars was single-minded and angry in his rule. Wealthy and ruthless, Mars made sure that his daughter was no stranger to war. But there are many games to be played when it comes to war and soon he realised that his daughter was a commodity to protect. When she came of age, many thought marrying her could play to political strengths in the wars between planets and gods.
And so she was sent with a guardian to Earth until she could be married, with no memory of who she truly was, nor of the galaxies from whence she came.
On Earth, they were stationed in a small terraced house in London, where the guardian was to work as a fortune teller, and Agnes to integrate as naturally as possible into human society.

I London
The terraced house was rundown, the paint on the window frames peeling and cobwebbed, the bricks crumbling here and there and the little 'garden' - if you would go as far to call it that - a set of simple cobbled stones that were laid unevenly underfoot, somewhat a hazard as one might approach the front door.
This house was home to a number of eccentrics, not least of whom the landlady: Margaret. She had become a sort of concierge in her later years; an old crone with an ear for gossip and a love of gold jewellery.
Margaret lived on the ground floor, her bedroom just off from the front door - it had once been a living room, it's bay windows now acting to serve as a look out for the doorkeeper. In the years since her husband died, Margaret opened up the upper floors of the house to renters, settling into the routine of housekeeper; she might not admit it, but the old lady felt a certain comfort in the knowledge that there would always be someone around, leaving her a little less lonely.
It was on a rainy afternoon, nondescript and the most Tuesday of Tuesdays, that Margaret's tenant suddenly upped and left. He marched down the stairs with a single suitcase, quite out of the blue, to announce that he would be leaving that same day. He handed over the rent for the month ahead, pulled a scarf around his neck and trotted out the door.
Sighing herself into a chair with a cup of tea, Margaret had barely a minute to mull this over, scowling as she pondered advertising the room in the paper or online, when a large black umbrella passed by her window. Beneath this umbrella: two figures approaching the door.
