Slash wondered through the Adoption centre, glancing left and right at the pets waiting around for someone to offer them another chance. Each of them sat in a slot, a box like seat with a cusion for them to rest on. Unless they were too big or aquatic, most pets sat upright in the hope that someone would take an intrest. Slash walked passed one of the slots containing an Ontra. While she liked the otter shaped pets she had three more to care for already at home and had only brought in a donation. But this Ontra was not about to be ignored.

"Hello." Slash glanced round at the voice. She found herself faceing a smiling face with a pair of very strange eyes. They were the deepest blue she'd ever seen and she had the uncomfortable feeling that they could see a great deal more within her head that she was comfortable with.

"Hello." Slash replied uncertently. The smile grew.

"You look like you could use some help." The Ontra said. Slash shifted uncomfortably, those eyes were very hard to meet.

"I've got help. There are many who help me out already."

"Really? They help you with those strange little things that have been happening to you and your pets lately? The zombies that seemed to follow you during the Suvival celebrations for example?" Slash didn't reply, she just waited to see where the Ontra went with her line of thought. "Things are about to get very strange, believe me on that score. But don't worry, you're about to be joined by others who will help you and offer support. While it will be a tad annoying, and more than a little perilous, it will all turn out well and you'll begin a very interesting adventure. Probably. But alot of it depends on your perspective on what a good adventure is." The Ontra finished and watched her with the same steady smile.

"I've got at least ten questions for you right now but all of them sound more like cliches from poor movies than a useful statment." Slash commented. The Ontra laughed cheerfully.

"I like you. Can I come and help you out? I'd love to see how this all turns out."

Slash opened the door to her house and stepped inside. She could hear that everyone had gone out. Delta would be at the resort along with Sophia. Delta's last experiment had gone wrong and taken part of the house with it. As a result, her room was under construction and Slash wanted Sophia out of the house until she was sure that nothing hazardus remained. Kaori would be on the way back from checking them in. She had agreed to stay with Slash through this buisness so they could keep working on the Gourmand Achievement. Slash wondered if Kaori was just looking forward to some time spent with her owner and no one else. "Nice place. I assume it doesn't always smell of smoke." Evengaline commented as she wondered in. "No. There was a slight accident." Slash answered. She closed her eyes for a momment and tried to think. She wasn't sure why she'd adopted this odd pet but she had. Kaori would not take to this well though and Slash needed to talk to her about some of the odd events that had been going on. There had been some zombie Subetans following her suring the Survival celebrations, Kaori had begun to hear strange voices at work and Delta had became obsessed with her potion making. It was as if she was afraid of something and needed to be ready for it. She would change her appearence every few days and kept a number of spare potions for the change. Kaori would be more than a little moody to discover a stranger in their house and Slash needed her to listen. There was nothing else for it, she would have to take Evengaline to the Lake Side Resort and introduce her to Delta and Sophia. Slash opened her eyes to find that Evengaline had wondered off. "Damn." Slash muttered. "Evengaline! Where are you? We need to agree what to do!" The faint clink of bottles caused Slash to turn towards the storage room where the potions were kept. She entered to find a Gold Jollin with pieceing blue eyes admiring her new coat. "What do you think?" She asked cheerfully. "A new look for a new start!" Slash gazed at the Jollin and Gold Potions that lay empty on the floor. "Those were expensive." She muttered. "True. But what else were you going to do with them?" Evengaline asked pleasently. "Evengaline? Please don't go through our things without asking. It can and will get you into trouble... But the new look is very nice." "Good. Call me Eve if it helps."

A strange creature, Eve rarely leave Slash's side. She seems to be able to forsee events and is interested in the future of Slash and her crew. Eve is full of mischief and laughter. Some have called her mad but she calls it a way to survive, when you can see the future in all it's terrible glory you need something to protect yourself. Eve's solution is to try and have fun and enjoy the life she has. She has taken a great likeing to Slash and tends to stick with her to see what will happen next. She teases everyone else and is still getting used to her new family but she's loving every minute of it.
