Like a light going out when the switch is flipped, Dhej immediately stopped dancing and turned toward the stereo. There stood the strange man that frequented Dhej's dance rehearsals. "You don't have to dance day in and day out, dear," the stranger spoke softly. Dhej stared intently at the stranger before striding up to him and speaking. "The best dancers practice everyday! I will not stop until I am the best!" Dhej turned and started the music. She looked in the mirror and then man standing at the stereo just seconds before was gone. Where did he go
Dhej shook her head. She flitted across the floor passionately; bold and fearless. As a consequence of
constant dancing, Dhej has no friends and spends all her free time in the studio. Spending so much time alone, Dhej often loses touch with reality. Sometimes she doesn't know if the man that appears is all in her head. No one else seems to be able to see him. She contemplates stopping for the day. But she can't stop. To stop would mean the end of her dream and she can't let that happen no matter what happens to her sanity. The only reality that Dhej has lies within a tiny paphos. The little thing likes being
alone during the day and snuggling at night, which suits Dhej as she ignores
everything during the day and the paphos would probably die otherwise.
