Irradiant; radiating light or shining brightly

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.

Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.

It is our light, not our darkness that frightens us.

Lost in Madness; How did one that was always so bright fall to such darkness?

First Memory;

He had never expected to end up like...this.

This...this...Run, they're coming, they're coming! Who's coming? Who are they? What are they? They're coming, hurry!

He gave up his questions, he just ran. Ran through the trees, ran through the bright forest. Where was he? What was he...so many questions swam through his head. There were no answers. There was nothing but the here. Nothing but the now. Nothing.

But he could only run so long.

He collapsed at the base of a tree, panting. What are you doing, they'll catch up! You have to hurry! What am I running from? Why am I running...who am I...Not important, run!

He couldn't listen any longer, his body wouldn't allow it. He tried to stand several times before giving up entirely and closing his eyes. You'll die, you have to run! Die? Death...what was death again? Just a word, another meaningless word. He knew a lot of those. Many meaningless words.

Unconsciousness took him as the voice still screamed for him to keep running.

When he awoke it was dusk. He looked around. A forest clearing and a beautiful lake. He stood and stumbled over to the lake to drink. The water turned red as soon as he mouth touched it. Blood, dripping blood, covered his body. It was always like this when he awoke, there was always fresh blood. He pulled his mouth back and stared at his reflection, but it meant nothing to him. The sun sank lower and the moon rose. It was only at night that the voice was calm...

The voice? What was the voice again? When had it taken over his mind...He couldn't remember. He couldn't remember anything beyond waking up. He had tried, at first, but it was no use. There was no point in fighting the madness. As he sat and tried to remember his name he heard a small noise. A very small noise. He instantly stood and began growling in the direction he had heard it.

Despite the growling the little noise continued, and got closer, until a small black kitten tumbled from the bushes. Eat it, it will reveal your location! He started to comply, but the kitten mewed at him. He stopped and stared. What is this thing? He knew he shouldn't eat it...You remembered. How unfortunate. Well then, what would you like to do with it?

The voice had...changed. Why? The kitten approached him with the courage of the truly naive and rubbed his leg. He stared at the little being. It looked like the reflection in the water, only it wasn't covered in blood. Black with the same eyes.
