Behold, the voice and wings of god incarnate, for Renata Niles stands tall as the high priest of the Holy Church of Tobiathan. From the moment she could stand on her own, she was forced to undergo strict training designed to sharpen her spiritual senses, all in preparation for the day she would inherit one of the most powerful leadership roles in the world. Though her emotional senses were stunted, she quickly became a force to be reckoned with during her elementary school years, as her Eyerth channeling abilities had surpassed those of all the adults in her life. By the time she finally heard the voice of god as a young adult, she possessed enough power to summon her own typhoons, should she desire so. It became painfully apparent to those with anti-religious sentiments that the church's influence would not be going away anytime soon, and any public opposition to the church seemingly vanished within months.

These days, perhaps what terrifies people most about Renata is her unwillingness to divulge in earthly desires. With near-limitless political power and raw energy, she could do anything she wanted - and yet, her devotion to the church as high priest causes her to disregard her own interests. Her hobby is bettering the world through prayer, and her dream is to expand the church to the world's four corners. Her marriage to god means that she only has one path to take, and the church's tenets serve as her unwavering guideposts...

To an outsider, it would appear as though Renata is as far removed from her humanity as possible.

Unfortunately, no human is safe from their own humanity. And behind the veil she has created, only Renata knows her ulterior motives.

Renata spent most of her early life training to become her father's successor, and she could usually be found within his arm's reach. There was no warm and fuzzy love to be found between the two; treated much like a tool, Renata was instructed by him to cast her desires aside for the good of humanity. Though she was seemingly unfazed by his passing, she has forbade any talk of the man within the church's walls, leaving her confidants wondering if it's a sore subject to her, after all.
Wilhelm
Despite his considerable political power, Wilhelm tends to defer to Renata, and acts as her right-hand man. For reasons unbeknownst to anyone but himself and possibly Renata, he will do anything to further the church's goals, and has repeatedly mentioned dying for its noble causes. Renata doesn't seem to mind his extreme nature, and she enjoys using him as her errands boy, although she has not said whether she actually considers him a friend or not.
Sveta
Renata and Sveta are polar-opposite colleagues, and the former frequently clashes with the latter's fiery, passionate, and extroverted attitude. When in the same room, they avoid communication as much as possible - and if words are absolutely necessary, every utterance drips with distrust. It's safe to say that their mutual hatred runs dangerously deep, and if one were given the opportunity to discreetly dispose of the other... well, let's not think about that.
