Two towers once stood tall and proud.
Now ghosts haunting our memories.

Reflections

Spiraling pinnacles of polished metal glistened high above the ground.
Walls of windows reflected the rising and setting of the sun, casting even a brighter glow below to the otherwise shadowed streets.

Gardens adorned personal rooftops.
Pools of clear blue mimicked landing strips.
Buildings that were public attractions: such as museums, philosophy centers and the Ariel recreation center towered above the smaller apartments, decorated with the finest of trims and adornments.

The night sky was never dark as lights from the tallest two buildings reflecting the bright sleepless lights, mirroring the reflections over the city.
Some seen the two as ancient reminders of what came before.
Some marveled at the simplicity of the design with the complexity of exterior support systems.
To others, they seemed like two boorish brutes among a city of refined gems.

No where else did anything like the two towers ~~stand~~ stood.

Once the two towers serving as a centerpiece to the city were removed, the void appeared like a hole in the heart.
Reflecting pools reminding us of the scars still lingering deep.
