It had been so sickly sweet, pouring down his throat in thick, sugary waves. Swallowing it almost made him sick, his stomach giving a rather upset rumble the moment the liquid hit his gut. The effects of the potion weren't instant, though his blues began to lighten and turn purple before settling with pink, stars softening and curving into hearts, his anger and rudeness bubbling into pure, giddy happiness. He stumbled back, wings flaring as he coughed, trying to spit the potion back up, but it was too late. His golden eyes tinted to blue - candy blue was a good way to put it, the shade rather unreal.

He was no longer a creature of the night, no longer the pet that was left alone because of his rough exterior and snappy attitude - no, that was all smothered down with the sweetness of that pink concoction she had brought home to him. He wanted to be angry, but as he fell back into a seated position, wiggling his toes and curling his tail, he found it hard to do anything but smile as he examined himself curiously.

She looks to me, hands held in front of her nervously, clenching fingers as she kneels down to get a better look. It's obvious she's concerned and it takes the human a moment before she speaks. After all, I was the first of her pets to take a potion.

"Altair? Are you alright?"

I want to growl at her, though instead I feel a happy smile cross my maw, my sharp teeth flashing as I giggle and perk my ears up. I giggled.

"I'm dandy! Do you have anymore of that yummy potion? I would love seconds!"
