The night was bustling with activity in the bar. The snow outside wasn't going to keep Domino and Casino Bar and Grill from closing today, not when there were still plenty of women who wanted to come here to enjoy their nights. Casino sat proudly against a wall, adjacent to a hall that lead to the entrance. She commonly watched her patrons enjoying themselves, remaining on standby to welcome new visitors. The cat purred rhythmically with the music that vibrated through the floor beneath her, curling her fluffy tail around her paws. Casino's burgundy collar stood out against her fur just as brightly as her confidence; she loved working here and wouldn't want to be anywhere else.
"This isn't the place for tears, hun."
Her hearing was tuned to hear the small jingle of a bell whenever someone entered a bar, despite how loudly the music was playing. She stalled for a few seconds before stepping into the hallway, her greeting already prepared. "Welcome ladies, to the Domino and Casino Bar and Grill!" Casino greeted with a sultry tone. As she glanced up at the two guests, she grinned widely upon recognizing one of them right away. "Ah, long time no see, sweetie! How've you been?"
"Aha, hiya Cassie. I've been alright. Same old stuff." the striped rangai laughed lightly and grinned. Casino wasn't sure, but she felt as if she felt a hint of nervousness in Makato's voice. At the moment she decided not to focus on it too much, for she was already looking over the dynatti that was accompanying her.
"Mmm, who's your friend here? She's a cutie." Casino spoke, asking more of a rhetorical question than anything. If anything were to come of this visit, she was confident she would come to learn who the dynatti was in due time. "You got an ID on you, baby girl? Once I see you're old enough to play with the big girls I'll letcha in!" Casino grinned, flicking her tail. She was comically smaller than the dynatti, even if Casino herself was larger than the average feline. She needed to make her job known though, which was to make sure nobody under 21 slipped past her. As true as her compliments were, the dynatti appeared just a smidge above the threshold. Better to be safe than sorry.
Casino heard the rangai make a noise through her nose. 'Poor thing must be embarrassed again.' Casino thought to herself, glancing briefly over the ID the dynatti fetched from her side bag. Quickly calculating the month and year, she determined the guest was definitely old enough to be at the bar.
"Hey, I'm not going to try anything here, alright?" the dynatii known as Claudeen (according to the ID) suddenly spoke. Casino's gaze shifted, realizing that it wasn't her that was being spoken to, but Makato. "So you can relax."
The cat's ears flickered, but otherwise pretended not to notice anyting Claudeen had said. "Good, good..." Cassie muttered and nodded, alerting the two that she was done with her ID inspection. She didn't bother asking for Makato's, being that she already knew the rangai. "Take a seat wherever you’d like, ladies. I’ll have someone come to serve you in a bit. Today’s not that busy, so shouldn’t be too long."
"Thanks, we appreciate it." Makato responded, removing her paw from covering her face. Casino took note that there was the faintest hint of pink blush beneath the stark white of the rangai's fur. 'So that's what that comment was for, hm...' Casino mused, watching the two of them walk through the bar to find a seat that they desired. She took note of the pair of them avoiding any other customers in the bar opposed to mingling, sitting themselves in a somewhat isolated corner booth.
