The first day he spent with kitty started like any other ordinary day. But as he was soon to find out, any day they spend together is far from ordinary.
Because from that first day on, every day starts with a good morning kiss, and ends with a good night kiss, and this makes them the happiest mouse and kitty that ever existed.
This here is my gift to Chitz, for our 4th year anniversary, that we celebrate today, May 4th 2012.
That week they spent their evenings in the park, on that bench in front of the lit fountain, or walking along the chestnut alley. Kitty complaining about the cold, him holding her paws to keep her warm.
I still suspect he forgot his umbrella in kitty's bag on purpose; that way he'd have a reason to meet her when they got back to their hometown. Kitty returned his umbrella of course, but she still hasn't returned his heart.
That's okay though. He's got kitty's heart too.
In just a couple of seconds, the perfect summer day was ruined, as the ice cream scoops fell off clumsy kitty's cone and down on the ground. Taking a walk in the park, ice cream cone in paw, didn't seem such a good idea after all; kitty was sad.
He offered her his ice cream to cheer her up. After all, his throat gets sore every time he has it. Even now, he just buys kitty ice cream and watches her eat it happily. Because there is nothing kitty loves more than ice cream. Okay, maybe Chitz, but don't tell him she said that.
Kitty had a bag, and there was a special surprise for him hidden in there. She kept giggling as poor Chitz kept asking her what it was. But there was no way she'd tell him before they got to the park. The most secluded park, where they were going to celebrate Childrens' Day, in their own way.
He inflated a balloon for kitty and then they ate chocolates and laughed. And that was the best June 1st they ever spent together. The two of them, and little Botticelli, whom kitty brought along in her bag.
There is a star up there that kitty wished upon last night. She wished to make Chitz happy, to yell at him more seldom and praise him more often. To make less fun of his nose, even though he does have a funny mouse nose. To learn how to count together every year on May 4th. To learn how to cook so she can cook for Chitz his favorite dishes. To sing for him and ride with him on a bike, and travel the world together.
Kitty wished to be the most wonderful kitty for her Chitz, because that is what Chitz deserves and nothing less.
