Raised Jinko the Bhakoru as is the custom of her people (instead of horses they rely on Bhakoru for transportation, etc.) He is her companion and faithful steed/mount all over the dry, windy deserts on their frequent patrols and scoutings. This is part of her duty as a member of the elite city guard which is traditionally comprised of men, but she has proven herself and fits in well with the team (there are a handful of other women as well.) Well-versed in the use of weaponry such as the spear (main choice), bow and knives/daggers.
Friza looked down at the paper with her new assignment. This was the farthest she'd ever been assigned to go and she was excited/looking forward to the challenge. She headed out across the training yard towards the stables.
[Insert short conversation here between Friza
and a fellow guard training out in the yard.]
When she reached the stables she grabbed her pack off the shelf. Hm, I'll need to stop in the market and pick up some more __ before we leave. Jinko heard her approach and stuck his head out the front of his stall happily to greet her.
"Hey boy, how're you doing today?"
She gave the giant bhakoru an affectionate rub on his beak(?)
