February 15th 12:30am

I did it. I told Jonah that I am a monster. About what I have done and what I am capable of. I didn't compel him to keep my secret...I didn't want to trick him more than I have already...and it went surprisingly better than I expected. I am not used to the warm acceptance and understanding...I couldn't be happier. I picked him up this morning after class and we went to lunch like any other day. I have been conflicted lately about telling him the truth as my feelings grow stronger and stronger for him. It was at lunch that I decided tonight would be the night. The sun started setting and I brought him to the docks, gazing out across the water, painted pink from the setting sun, I took hold of his hand. I bit my lip as I turned to him and kind of blurted it out. I came out all at once, from the beginning. He didn't say a word, he just let me spew it all. I hadn't realized how much I was trying to hold back and forget until I was left breathless and dry mouthed. I still couldn't register his reaction. I tried to let go of his hand and turn away, but he held firm and pulled me to his chest and for a while didn't say anything at all. I was worried, I looked up at him with uncharacteristic panic in my voice, "Please say something...anything...please..." In that moment I felt the most unlike myself...I felt vulnerable and wide open...and for the first time in a very long time I felt genuinely scared. That is when he pulled me up with a hand under my chin, all romantic like, "My vampire boyfriend, Mister Inhuman Strength acting like a weakling?!" His tone was mocking but still I laughed at the juxtaposition, but it was cut short. Jonah pulled my face closer, his lips met mine sending an electric shock down my spine. Up until this moment...we had never kissed so intimately. My instincts kicked in and I felt the familiar tickle in my gums. My guard was down,I had to pull away before I lost control. He sensed it too for the first time. I closed my eyes tight in an attempt to regain my composure. Jonah took a deep breath and didn't say anything but I could all but hear the gears turning inside that gorgeous chestnut mopped head and see the light radiating from his wide doe eyes the color of dark amber. He was busy plotting something.

After what felt like an eternity of silence, he stood and pulled my up with him and we returned back to my car. Jonah slid into the drivers seat, leaving me to the passenger side. Before I knew it we were pulling up the drive way to the old boarding house I call home. And still not a word had been said since we kissed. Jonah sat on the edge of my bed, I could feel the waves of nervous energy rolling off of him now, as I stood just in front of him. With another audible breath, he pulled his shirt up over his head. "Jacoby, I love you with all my heart. I want to show you that I mean it..." his voice was like angels singing after the silence. He reached out and grabbed my shirt as he reclined on to my bed, causing me to come down on top of him. His mouth searched desperately for my lips again and then down along my jaw until he was whispering in my ear, "I trust you. I know you want it...do it." It was almost a pleading tone in his voice. I kissed his neck and along his shoulder, the tingling in my jaw returned. I pinned him to the bed, hands over his head, as instinct took over. I kissed down his collarbones and chest until I reached his neck. I kissed it gently as Jonah arched his back slightly from under me. The tingle went away as I felt them click into place. I slowly let them pierce the soft flesh of his throat as he let out an extended breathy moan. My mouth was flooded with the sweet taste of citrus. He tasted so amazingly. I could feel his emotions much clearer now with each swallow. He breathed easily, but felt his slight worry and his deep love for me that grew stronger. I took one final swallow before willing myself away from his neck. The smell of his blood lingered in the air as I pricked a finger and slipped it in his mouth giving him just enough of my essence to heal his wound. He willingly obliged. My teeth reverted to normal and Jonah smiled as he dozed off to sleep. I couldn't help but smile as well. What had just happened was more intimate then connecting any other way.

February 22nd 2:41am.

Jonah is asleep in my bed, he looks so adorable. I haven't slept comfortably all week. Not since the night I opened up to Jonah. Every time I let myself slip into sleep the past, my past, my bloody violent past creeps in on me after I had so long suppressed those memories...tonight it was the beginning. Every time I close my eyes I see William and I sitting at the tavern, the sun had already set and most of the tavern patrons had long since gone home. The door swung open and silhouetted in the dim candle light was Signore Voulta, our fathers close friend and confidant, ever since out mothers mysterious death. Her throat had bit ripped and her body was void of blood. Voulta sat beside us and ordered something we had never heard of. The bar keep nodded and vanished to a back room before reappearing with goblets. the two placed before me and my brother were filled with a deep amber liquid and the one before Voulta had a deep crimson color and smelled like no wine I had ever seen. "Ahh Signores Deluna, Lovely evening we are having, no?" William and I nod, sipping from the goblets. The liquid was bitter and burned much more than anything I have ever consumed. The three of us stayed and chatted and drank more. The burn and taste diminished the more we consumed. It was getting much later and William and I had negotiations the next morn for our father. We stumbled to leave and bid Sr. Voulta good evening as we left. The night was near dark, the moon was just a tiny sliver in the sky.

The streets were empty and all quiet except mine and Williams feet on the cobblestone and the chuckle or grunt. We were still a bit away from our home when our bladders in unison screamed for release. An alleyway provided the perfect opportunity. We began relieving ourselves with satisfied sighs. At the end of the ally a figured appeared and with the inhuman quickness raced down towards us. I remember nothing after that moment, until the next morning. I awoke in a very dim room, slivers of sunlight filtered in through a thick velvet curtain. I felt like I had drank way too much, but I know I hadn't. There was a dull throb in my neck, I reached a weighted hand to it, flakes of something dry flaked off and a coppery smell filled my nose...it was blood. My blood. I felt around the aching area, to find two very tender marks. Vampiro, the word came to mind, a creature of myth and legend. The blood sucker. It couldn’t be. It was then, I noticed to my side, an unmoving, pale corpse...the corpse of William. His face contorted to a silent scream. The sight alone caused me to faint...

February 22nd 11:45 am

I dropped Jonah off at class this morning...I came home and tried to sleep again for a while but it was useless. The visions of my past flooded back again. I wish I could go back to that day after I woke up next to William's lifeless corpse...If only I were as strong then as I am now, I could have changed stopped it. Coming to a while later, the sun had set some, and the room was a glow with candles on almost every surface. Sitting in a high backed chair was Sr. Voulta sipping more of the crimson liquid from a goblet...I knew now it was blood. I pulled myself into a seated position against the wall behind me and watched him. It was then that he set aside the goblet and noticed my consciousness . With a quick step, he was standing over me, his mouth tainted red. He placed a hand around my throat and pulled me up off the floor. I tried to turn my head, but his grip tight. "What..do..you..want...with...me", my voice was weak and I could hardly breath. His only response was a deep maniacal laugh. he squeezed tighter around my throat and my vision got dim around the edges. He brought his free wrist to his mouth and ripped a chunk out before slamming it firmly against my lips, "DRINK YOU FOOL", his voice boomed, I was certain the walls trembled around us.

He loosen his grip slightly on my throat. I was quite frightened and did as he said. His blood burned my throat as it went down as If i was drinking scolding water. The warmth spread through my body the more I swallowed, until he pulled his wrist away and unceremoniously threw me back against the wall with force enough to feel something crack in my side as I slid down and for a second time that day, I lost consciousness. When I came to again it was completely back in the room, but I could see everything as clear as day light. The door to the room was open, and William was gone. I stood and felt amazing and no pain. I reached up to my neck, where before there was the bite, but now there was nothing. I shook my head, trying to convince myself everything was all a dream and that in a drunken haze I had managed to enter a house and remain undetected for so long. That notion didn’t last long, Signore Voulta waltzed into the room with a smirk on his face. "Ah my pet, you are awake now. I bet by now you are beginning to feel an deep unsatisfiable hunger." he laughed again as he crossed the room and stood in front of me, gazing into my eyes. I tried to speak but I found myself unable to. "You will say nothing right now. You will follow me and I will show you how to feed. understood?" I felt an understanding wash over me and all I could muster was a nod. He turned and started back out the door, and I followed right after, not really sure why.

February 24th 2:30am

I just woke up in an ice cold sweat. I could almost hear the screams and crying as if I was there again. That night after Sr. Voulta had my follow him out of the dwelling and out into the night, is a night I had tried so hard to forget, but now that its surfaced again, I don't think I will ever be able to erase it. The only good thing that came from that night was learning about the Power that was welling inside me. That would later prove to be a great thing. That night Sr. Voulta and by extension, myself, slaughtered a whole village of people. The hunger was gone and I was full like an engorged tick. I was freed that night from his control but still I stayed with him out of confusion and to gain any information I could about this life.

For a month after that night, I tagged along with him to villages, but I only drank enough to not completely drain them of all blood. We had just found a new settlement, and found we couldn't enter the homes. We had to use our abilities to persuade the people to allow us inside. We were approaching the last in an attempt to draw them out, when I noticed etchings in the frame of the door. They were symbols of witchcraft. That would explain why we couldn't enter the homes without coercing the villagers, they had a witch watching over them and protecting them. At that moment I knew this was my chance to escape. With quick thinking, I convinced Sr. Voulta to allow me to take this one. He didn't agree willingly but he gave in and stepped back. As if on cue, the witch opened the door and invited me in. She hastily closed the door behind us and slipped a lock into place with a clink. She was a beautiful women, olive skinned with stunning green eyes and perfectly tousled ebony locks. She eyed me wearily, "I heard your plan, in your thoughts...I think I can help." She crossed the room and opened a door in a large oak pantry. She produced a crystal tear=shaped box. She crossed back to me and opened it, the contents of which were tiny flakes of silver. She filled me in on her plan and I went along with it. I bit her neck and drank just a small amount. She proceeded to take the flakes of silver and mix them the entirety of them into some one before consuming it all. I took hold of her tightly, and led her to the door. She beckoned for Signore Voulta to come closer, and she invited him in. Without hesitation, he latched on to her neck, and drank deep. it didn’t take long for him to feel the effects, he dropped the women and he sputtered before falling to his knees. His face twisted up in anguish as he looked up at me. A guttural moan was the last noise he made before he crumbled away to dust. It was then she told me her name, Silvia.

February 28th 8:00am.

Finally it seems I have been able to rest easier. Jonah is such a sweetheart. The other night after I woke up startled, he took hold of my hand and and just listened to my babbling about what he has already heard. last night I finally told him the one thing I had left out, where I got my ring from. Silvia and I were companions for a long time after the night we saved each other. She willingly continued to travel with me. I only drank human blood from the already dying. Silvia and I worked as a team by night posing as traveling clergy helping them pass on. After a close call on morning, Silvia created a ring for me, an amethyst set in a gold band. The band was spelled and inscribed with symbols of protection for me to be allowed to be in the sunlight without being harmed.

We kept up for a few years after that until Silvia met a male witch and they fell in love. The last time I saw her was the beautiful wedding they held. I caught word some time later that she had died during child birth. She was a good friend. Around the same time I learned that My father's brother and a group of his colleges, of which we had no idea about his workings, had fled to America to evade some trouble. It was still another few years before I had decided to travel to America myself. Upon my landing, I found myself in Pine Falls, a quint little town on the east coast. Pine Falls was that welcomed witches and vampires. The founders of the town were my uncle and his colleges, a few vampires and a small coven of witches, Silvia's husband and child were among them. I made my presence known to my uncle and he offered his home to me when I passed through. For the next twenty years, I traveled around, never staying one place for too long. Until I found myself back in Pine Falls. I wanted to settle down for a while, somewhere I could live for a while. I settled into my uncles home, he had passed a few months prior to my return. Silvia's Husband, Barrow, had passed too. Their daughter, Jules, had grown and started her own family as well. It wasn’t much longer after my return that I had enrolled in the local collage and met Jonah, the greatest thing I have in this life.
