Appearance: Any two people would be hard pressed to describe Keenan in exactly the same way unless they both happened to be looking at the same time. Through very little magic, Keenan's appearance changes almost daily, usually through a change of hair color and style (most people assume wigs), the addition or subtraction of various piercings and tattoos (probably all fake, they theorize), or a change in eye color (definitely contacts). However, there are constants in Keenan's appearance, and one is their height. Keenan is petite, to put it politely, so short that almost everyone but children stands above them. The other constant is that no one can quite place Keenan's gender; a perfect example of androgyny who has absolutely no interest in answering one way or the other.

Occupation: Keenan owns and lives above a combination bookstore and tea room named Reading Tea. They are an expert in herbal medicine and tasseography.

The storefront has been converted from the first floor of a townhome in a rather out of the way part of the city. Keenan makes the majority of their profits not from selling books, but from selling and serving a wide variety of teas, all of which are grown and produced on-site. Keenan is also an expert in herbal medicine, and their natural cures for various ailments are favored by many local elderly women.

After-hours, Keenan serves a decidedly less human clientele. Because of their skills in fortune telling and their ability to obtain rare and questionably legal items, Keenan is sought out by the supposedly mythical creatures that reside in the area; and some that do not.

History:Keenan's father was a practitioner of new age witchcraft. In the course of his practice he learned of the Faerie Realm and how to travel there. This was how he met Keenan's mother, a Garden Faerie who grew fond of him and followed him back to the human world to watch over him and his house. In the guise of a human woman she became his gardener and housekeeper. Eventually the two fell in love and married, only then did she reveal her identity to him.

Keenan began to display their Fae abilities at a young age, and it was decided that they would need training in controlling them. Therefore, every summer Keenan traveled to the Faerie Realm with their mother to learn about that side of their heritage. During the rest of the year Keenan lived with their father learning of human witchcraft. When Keenan's father died, their mother returned to the Faerie Realm permanently, leaving Keenan alone in the human world. Keenan converted the family home into the store they own today.
