story
Lady Imogen Cavendish was born in Britain in 1929. She received a classic boys education due to her mother's insistance that a girl ought to be brought up practically. Tutors were employed to instruct young Imogen in everything she would need to know in order to run the estate and keep the family fortunes going. Her passion for creating machines was discovered when an engineer was employed to teach her how to maintain the family's Lagonda M45R Rapide.
Imogen would take bits and pieces of old broken machinery to her room and create with it. This became a problem for the household staff to clean and she soon managed to convince her parents that she needed a workshop to hold her innovations.
When the war broke out in 1939 Imogen's father was conscripted, he died on the battlefields of France. Soon after Imogen's mother also died from self imposed starvation. As an only child who was not yet in her majority her uncle was given guardianship over her and the estate's affairs. He was a lecher by nature and took to watching Imogen every chance he could get. The servants who loved their lively, intelligent mistress did their best to make sure she was never left alone with the man for long.
Frustrated he made her life miserable, squandering her money on frivolous extravagances. Imogen bided her time, all the while tinkering with her devices, creating new and unique ways to protect herself. Upon reaching her majority she banished her uncle from the household by proving his ill nature to a judge.
Vowing never to be ruled over by another person again she set out to restore her inheritance and home to its former glory and will let nothing get in her way.
