The day that Maebh opened her tea shop next to the lake in downtown Veta was the first day that any residents (or tourists, for that matter) had ever seen her or the shop that was suddenly fully stocked and opened. One day, the small shop was empty, and the next day, it was open with little tables out front with umbrellas, teapots in the windows, and a lovely aroma emanating from the open door. At first, locals would question Maebh, asking her how she possibly could have set up in one night. She just smiles sweetly and changes the conversation to tea, offering them a free cup from that day's special variety. After a while, no one asked anymore, having grown used to the shop and its lovely mistress. Maebh was always happy to sit a spell, have a chat, and help with any problems her neighbors or visitors had. She always seemed to know how to help, either with the right variety of tea or a kind word. Sometimes, those who didn't know her would whisper of witches and spells, but they were quickly hushed by the locals, one or two of whom always seemed to be in the shop. They had grown protective of the girl who seemed to be able to fix problems with a simple cup of tea. She was their neighbor, and their friend. Not to mention, she could brew a great cup of tea!
