I'm a headerRunning, constantly running.
The beasts behind me are gaining, I can hear their grunting, snarling, and wheezing as they gain behind me. I don't know what they are but it's a massive hoard of beasts that are hell-bent on my blood, I can practically feel their rotting breath on the back of my neck. I fly through the overgrown forest as fast as my legs can carry me, leaping over anything in my way without missing a beat. As I run, I take in my surroundings...I can't remember this place or anything at all. How I got here, who I am, what I did to cause these creatures to hunt me like an animal. The area is full of all types of plants and scents, some seeming familiar but as I reach out for the memory it slips through my fingers, evading my grasp. The creatures are gaining by the second and I have no where to hide and I have no tricks up my sleeve to save me. As I continue onwards unwilling to give up I see a bridge close by and run for it thinking maybe it will slow the creatures down a little and possibly giving me some sliver of a chance to think or see something that may help me. The bridge is less than 40 feet away when I hear a screech ring through the trees. I don't dare turn to look at what creature let that wail out for fear it may be my downfall. 30 feet...25 feet.... Something latches onto my arms in a tight hold, I try to reach up and grapple with the creature but it's hold is too tight and I can't get free no matter how much I struggle.

I turn forward to see that we're just about to cross the bridge, I'm hoping to free myself as soon as the creature has enough gain when we slam into some type of thick film type substance...it almost feels alive. I can no longer move, nor do I feel the creatures hands upon my arms as I continue my struggle into this goop. It feels like forever passes when I'm thrust out of the thing and am rolling along hard ground as it scrapes me all over. I lay still for a few moments to catch my breath before I open my eyes and take in my new surrounding. Another unknown place, though unlike the thick forest, I have no vague familiarity about this area, no memories begging to be released. I circle around and spot feathers scattered around the area. Finally my eyes land on a strange creature bird but...not? It sits staring at me almost as if it expects me to speak to it. I feel like I know this creature but every time I try to dig for who he is I come up with nothing, though I feel oddly trusting towards this bird thing that has most likely saved my life.
