At first glance, Noktis might look cute enough to let your guard down. Although that may be true, this creature is incredibly dangerous.

The man's face was shrouded in the cloud of a person left far too long with greed in their soul. His mouth beamed his victory, carefully clutching a small squirming creature in his trembling hands. "I finally found it! I found you."
Large, purple eyes stared up at him. A forked tongue flicked out from between the lizard's red lips, which almost seemed to be turned upward into a smile. Rainbow ringlets extended down her body, leading to a second head wrapped in teal. The teal head appeared to be asleep, making gentle purring noises while her eyes fluttered. Her scales shone faintly in the dim torch light. He had periodically lit a path within the ruins he had found himself in on his quest to find her. The red head looked at him fearlessly, her left leg curling up under her chin comically.
"Hello, human. It appears you have made a long journey."
The man's eyes shone with cupidity, nodding eagerly at the small creature's inquiry.
"What is it you seek, then?" Her lips curled over her fangs in amusement. "Don't tell me you've lost your tongue after such a dreadful adventure?"
The man swallowed hard, finally speaking. "I just can't believe you're real!" A bellowing laughter erupted from his mouth, twisting his face into a demented grimace of excitement. "You are going to give me everything!"
The red heads tongue flicked indifferently. "You may find everything to be more than you bargained for."
The man's grin faltered, but only momentarily. "I will have what I desire!"
"So be it." Nok smirked, still wriggling in the mans hands. "But you need to let me go. If you want the mark of fortune I need to be able to move."
The man eagerly released his grip on the squirming lizard, his eyes nearly bulging out of his head in anticipation. Her grin stayed displayed on her lips as she settled into the palm of his hands. Her large eyes studied him critically. The man held his breath, trembling. She revealed her fangs, preparing to bite his palm.
Her body shivered subtly in his hands. With Nok's head preparing to clamp down, the man had completely forgotten to show caution to her other head, Tis. The teal lizard's eyes opened sluggishly, her own forked tongue testing the surface of his skin.
Tis had clamped down on the man before he knew what was happening, and a glowing teal fang mark was left on the his palm. At the same time, Nok threw her head back in mocking laughter. The man yelped in horror, loosing what little grip he had on Noktis's body. The crafty lizard scrambled away from his hands, dropping to the ground and scurrying away as quickly as she could. The man wailed his anger, attempting to give chase to the little beast that duped him.
"YOU'LL PAY FOR THAT!" He bellowed, stomping after the creature in angry pursuit. "HOW DARE YOU - You tricked me!"
Both heads on Noktis cackled in approval, all four legs carrying her in sync across the stone floor. The man was quickly approaching, but the small creature showed no signs of fear. The bite mark on his hand shone brighter as the man's toes caught a stone crumble in the floor, sending him sprawling onto his arms. Noktis continued to scurry away from the man, diving into a small crack in the ancient walls - all paths she was very familiar with. The small lizard laughed once more, both heads speaking in unison. "Have fun with all the bad luck!"

Description »

Noktis is ultimately two individual minds. The red head goes by the name of Nok, while the teal one is Tis. Nok is generally cheerful and compelling, able to lure potential victims in with promises of riches and unfathomable good fortune. Tis carries a different demenor, often appearing sluggish and sly. She often intervenes to show those who would abuse her twin's powers what being truly unfortunate is. Their shared body is covered in multicolored ringlets, giving their scales a rainbow appearance.

Personality »

Nok is the compelling head, and when she is awake she has the ability to sway an individuals natural luck heavily in their favor. Her sister head Tis is slow moving and comical, often using her negative luck abilities to teach greedy fortune seekers a valuable lesson. The two heads usually do not communicate vocally at the same time. They know each other's thoughts without audible cues and despite being separate minds they never seem to disagree or argue.

Hemic

Hemic is a sarcastic creature with a natural ability to control both water and air elemental abilities. He has changed drastically since turning into a Lasirus, originally being a Lain. He rarely sees Noktis, but enjoys her company greatly when he does.

Thermogenic

Confidence and charisma are Thermogenic's natural talents. He is sly and outspoken, and can often be full of himself. Thermogenic enjoys Noktis's sharp tongue and will often go out of his way to see her.

Deirdra

If a thunderstorm could have a personality, it would be Deirdra's to hold. Often contemplative but rough around the edges, she can come off as distant and uninterested. Noktis is one of the few creatures that can make Deirdra smile.

Syiren

Syiren occasionally likes to make trips down from her mountain, but doesn't usually wander too far from home. She is a very solitary creature with a love for extreme climates, and several others have nearly frozen to death attempting to approach her domain. Noktis and Syiren don't see each other often.

Supersonic

Supersonic is a lovable creature that could befriend anyone in a matter of seconds. She is perpetually happy and good natured with a desire to brighten others lives. She can be a little overbearing to some, but most fall for her charms quickly. Noktis is mostly indifferent to her.

Stitchies

Stitchie was the result of some experimentation in his own personal lab. He eventually became an animated inanimate creature filled with plastic beans and stuffing. Despite his strange new life he considers his secret experiment a great success. Noktis enjoys spending the occasional evening with her brother.

Sooki

Beautiful and often admired for her soft personality, Sooki's elemental ability to control plants and fauna is often used to bring smiles to the younger animals that share her forest home. Sooki is friends with everyone, and Noktis is often charmed by her.

Sirine

Sirine is a positive thinker with a cheerful demeanor, making her home in the forest with Sooki. She is often right by the Earth elemental's side. Sirine is possibly the only thing that could rustle Sooki's fur enough to cause a level of protective viciousness, however her time alteration abilities make her a powerful force. Noktis feels fairly protective over her young sibling.

Scylar

If anger had a face, it would probably be Scylar's snarling hiss, as the most temperamental of her siblings. Her family is fiercely loyal to her despite how unpleasant she can be. Noktis and Scylar have an interesting relationship, with Noktis bringing twisted humor into Scylar's life.

Putridity

The smell of grave rot lingers in the air around Putridity. As her necromancy abilities flourished, her own body deteriorated over the years. She is constantly patching herself as needed. Noktis avoids her decaying sister like the plague.

Kaleidoscopes

Kaleidoscopes is perpetually upbeat, which is either loved or hated depending on which sibling you speak with. Kaleidoscopes pays that no mind, living in her blissful rainbow euphoria with her best friend Festaval. Noktis finds Kaleidoscopes to be fairly obnoxious, but tolerates her anyways.

Gwar

Gwar used to be a military man, but shifted lifestyles many moons ago. Eventually, he grew to see a higher purpose in the world and his desire to be a part of something bigger. He has left his fate to the cosmos ever since. Noktis often rolls her eyes at Gwar, finding his enlightened behavior annoying.

Graice

Graice is incredibly adventurous with an appetite for in the moment situations that often get her into trouble. Noktis enjoys her antics, often encouraging her behavior and getting involved.

Festaval

Festaval is the other half of the rainbow pack, with a perky personality and a soft heart. He cares deeply for others even if they do not care for him. Just like his rainbow sister, Noktis finds Festaval to be fairly irritating.

Pixiey

Pixiey revels in madness, finding humor in both good and bad actions. She has the ability to see the future and enjoys twisting it to suit her own purposes. Noktis absolutely adores her powerful sister, and they are often seen together.

Dobbie

Dobbie is a slow, friendly fellow. His demeanor is sluggish and often timid. His ability to emit light and use it to his advantage makes him a friend to most living creatures. Noktis is not particularly close with him, but does watch him with genuine curiosity frequently.

Incubis

Incubis is the master of mental manipulation, able to temporarily input thoughts, images and false memories into any living things brain. Being close with Pixiey, Incubis spends a fair bit of his time with Noktis.

Levyna

Levyna is a beautiful sight, but can be dangerous when her powers are not under control. She withers living things away when utilizing her abilities. Plants become sunken and crunchy and animals loose a lot of their will to fight. Although her abilities alone do not kill her enemies, the recovery and exposure often does. Noktis appreciates her sister, admiring her ability to deter without directly killing.

Lucien

Lucien is haunted by the shadow of darkness, making him seem distant and often vacant. Noktis feels a sense of uneasiness around the young buck, but still chooses to study his behaviors as he slips deeper into the void.

Prickled

Prickled is very intelligent, often found in his workshop creating schematics and contraptions. Although Noktis and Prickled are acquainted, she hasn't spent a lot of time with him personally.

Wolfen

Wolfen is a pure heart, believing in the strength of others and always following through on his promises. He is one of the greatest friends anyone could ever have. Despite this, Noktis knows very little about him and hasn't spent much time with him.

Ignescent

Ignescent is distant but powerful, with fire abilities that can level entire populations. She lives inside an active volcano, well known for isolating herself voluntarily. Noktis is aware of her existence but does not know her personally.

Eyed

Eyed is incredibly dangerous, constantly emitting a powerful amount of radiation. Because of this she is usually found in the deepest corners of a glowing cave within the desert. Surprisingly, Noktis seems to have a natural immunity to radiation. Because of this she is one of the only living creatures to have met and known Eyed personally.

Candied

Candied is a pleasant creature, tending to be as sweet as her cotton candy pelt. She is shy but kind hearted, often charming those who get to know her. Noktis can't deny her love for candy, so she has become fairly fond of the candy making lamb.
