The howling of the Ysdrili red wolves is a well-known sound to those who live deep within the peeks of the Mynyyd mountain range - a sound that never fails to send a chill down the spine of those who hear it. The pack of wolves that roam through the mountains have ruled the land there for centuries, their offpsring carrying on the tradition of hunt and howl the same as any great royal family's. Their tracks are on permanent display in the snow, and the bones they leave behind glisten like pearls in the sea.

Despite the size of the pack and their chilling sound, however, they are quite peaceful. Though stories have been passed down for hundreds of years speak of their cruelty, most cannot recollect the last time a child was taken by the wolves, nor the last time someone suffered injury or death by their jaws.

No, it is not truly the entire pack that is feared, but rather one lone wolf that sets himself apart from the rest not only by his size, but by his cruelty.
