Once upon an old western time, there lived a young rattler who grew up watching too many John Wayne movies-
"Do it right or I kill you with my tail gun."
It's not a real gun. That would be highly ill-
"I KILL YOU!"
Once upon a time there lived a young rattler in a dusty old hole. He was restless for adventure and one day went looking for trouble. He shifted himself into the hot sand to lie in wait. Whatever came across his path, he promised he would attack no matter what. It took hours of waiting but finally a hare crossed his path, jumping right on top of the snake. Sierpe quickly launched himself forward and was met with a swift kick in the face by the hare's gigantic feet-
"HEY that is not how it happened-"
"I like this version better."
Yeah, I thought it added some spice to the story, rather than just saying you were too slow to catch a meal...
"You're lucky I didn't eat you Liebre, otherwise-"
Can I get back to the story? So, Sierpe let his potential first meal alone slip through his scaly grip. But this jack rabbit was just about as arrogant as the snake was and stayed to taunt the young rattler. This erupted into a mini battle between predator and prey and still ended the same way it began. The young snake didn't have the energy to keep up with the hare and gave up in defeat.
