personality

Simi is an overall friendly person. Although she doesn’t make friends with everyone she meets, she tries to be civil. She is willing to put in the extra work, especially if others in the group are not pulling their weight. However, this tends to frustrate her — after all, it’s inconsiderate to make one person do most of the work. To release frustration, Simi likes to take walks around the grounds of Hogwarts.

Simi also greatly respects authority and rules. To her, the rules are instated for a reason, and authority is meant to enforce those rules. She shows little remorse for those who knowingly break rules and get caught. She has stayed “under the radar” so far herself, and doesn’t plan on changing that anytime soon.

history

Simi was born to a witch mother and muggle father. Her father is of Japanese decent, while her mother is British. Although her birth name is “Shigemi”, she prefers the nickname “Simi” which was given to her by her maternal grandmother. Her mother works as a healer at Saint Mungo’s Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries. Her father teaches music at a local high school. Simi attended muggle school until age 11.

She shares her father’s love of music, and her mother’s interest in herbology, although she doesn’t want to be a healer or a music teacher. Although she hasn’t given any serious thought to what she really wants to do after formal magical education, she envisions incorporating both the magic and muggle worlds. She attributes this to her parents’ emphasis on the merits of both worlds. Overall, Simi has the potential to be quite progressive in this capacity.

Simi began attending Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry the September following her eleventh birthday. She was nervous at first because she had never attended a magical school before. Obviously it was a huge change from the muggle schools she was used to. But Simi soon found she fit in with the other first-years, and now considers Hogwarts her home away from home.

Being in her 3rd year, Simi elected to take care of magical creatures and arithmancy in addition to the standard core classes. Although not a poor student, Simi’s only real strong suits are in herbology and charms. Her worst subject is transfiguration... Oh yeah, and the abomination that was flying lessons. Instead, she cheers on her two quidditch teams of choice: Hufflepuff and the Hollyhead Harpies.

She is also looking forward to Hogsmeade outings when she can stop by Honeydukes to buy chocolate frogs. Simi keeps a small collection of wizards cards, which could do with a few new additions.
